To ensure the well being of their people is the responsibility of the government, society, and the individual. Yes these institutions often fail which is the cause of poverty and death from impoverishment however governments have trillions upon trillions of dollars and they still cant fix this. To kill a person is to rob them of everything and it is the ultimate injustice. Although it is true i could probably save lives and improve living conditions i would still not do it because you cannot sacrifice another justifiably. The only moral sacrifice is the sacrifice of self because you can consent to it. To suffer for good is good, to inflict suffering for good is bad. Obviously this has its limits and if pushed to an incredibly highly unrealistic scenario such as the entire universe being at stake i would probably sacrifice another but even in such a drastic scenario i would consider the act amoral and would be ashamed.
