I find nofap appealing as an expression of self control, really not much different than disciplining yourself to eat well and exercise.
The problem is even with exercise there are bad weather days where you give yourself a day off or in diets cheat days where you get to eat like a pig.
Nofap just seems too puritanically moralizing to me in its absolute nature. I would find it more appealing if maybe the community encouraged say like a 3-day nofap or something. I think the all or nothing mentality convinces a lot of people who might want to try it that the only real benefit is bragging rights. If moral superiority is the only benefit I'm not really interested.
