>How is your cut going?

officially started last monday because the previous week I had dinners and social events
going well but today I'm not tracking kcals since I had lunch out with mother, hopefully I dont fuck up but im not even hungry and it's already 20pm

>what is your cardio
none but I plan on adding skipping rope on sundays, been losing the condition I gained from boxing for almost two years

>any routine changes
none, and only diet change was eating 300calories less and jumping protein from 25% to 30% which is roughly 2g/kg and carbs to 45% even though I always had hard time hitting 50% carbs.
fats always 25% but not sure if there would be benefits to up them to 30%

>How is your cut going?
Meh. Dropped 10 pounds the first week, bouncing between 171-174 since. Looking at pictures, I think I effectively recomped instead.
>What is your cardio?
Barely any besides an HIIT class and limited time on the bike. Really need to compress my workouts for some time on the treadmill
>Any routine changes?
Not really. Lifts never went down though I can't seem to do the same number of heavy sets.

Thinking of trying clen or cardarine and increasing my cardio. Alternatively I could start filling my adderall rx again and eating less but I'm 99% certain I'll turn my hypomania into depression if I do.

Averaging about 3 pounds lost a week, by the end of the school year I oughta be beach ready, how fast do you all typically lose weight on a cut?

For reference, I do
>caloric restriction (roughly 1500-1800 kcal/day)
>20 minutes of cardio daily
>45 minutes of pickup basketball twice a week
>SL 5x5 3 days/week

Cutting sucks. Thanks to DNP and roids I only have to cut 14-28 days a year.

Starting a cut using a 500-1000 caloric deficit. With high protein. How do you preserve muscle mass on a cut?

Keep lifting, if you're getting weaker as time goes, up your calories a bit. It's natural to lose endurance on a cut so don't worry so much about that.

Been cutting for 8 weeks now, been getting the " your so thin, you look ill, you need to eat!!" Cunts

i lost 4 kg
strenght gains going on but slowly
still little to none definition, just shit genes apparently since im 1.not fat 79kg 180cm and 2.ok lifts (1/2/3/3.75 for reps)
im gonna go down to 75 kg, if i dont have abs then im just going to say fuck it and go permabulk

you live with your parents?

Cheers user

Been intermittently fasting, focusing on good nutritional habits when I'm eating. I don't know my previous BF% but it was probably mid 30's, I am looking at examples and I was likely low 20's now, it's been months of dedication and 4-5 day a week training but it's paid off well. The best part is it feels easier than ever to do, this is the lightest, leanest, and strongest I have ever been.

The mire's have been motivating also.I ran into someone from high school when I was 260 lb but I didn't say anything and he didn't recognize me. That's when it sunk in that I have really changed.

I haven't made it though, because the grind and process of "making it" is what really makes you.

i lost 22pounds/10kg since mid-february

from 248pounds/113kg to 226/103

i am currently not lifting because of shit schedule, but i have more than enough muscle from bulking

i plan on starting to lift when i reach 198/90kg and slow down because i fear loose skin

im feeling down bros..
what lies ahead is daunting and i'd lie if i didnt say im depressed

Been cutting for a year down from 280lb, hit 220 3 weeks ago, ate 2100 cal per day this past two weeks, walking 10km per day 5x per week to the gym and running 3.5km 3x per week after work and I've lost no weight, I'm 6'6" this should be a fucking huge deficit REEEEEE

Look into intermittent fasting, do a 16-8 to start (16hrs fasting, make it align with when you got to bed to make it easier) and then 8 hour eating window. Focus on continuing with a clean diet and keeping up the exercise.

No,wife

Is it possible to cut and not be hungry? My body and mind cannot function while I'm starving

Your poor heart.

I currently kind of do IF, I eat just before the gym at 11AM with an 80 cal biscuit then eat the rest of my calories between 3 and 9PM, been doing this since I hit 220lb

It's not like I need a refeed either cos I had one two weeks ago and had a high carb day yesterday

Switching from pasta to potatoes helped me immensely with this, and by either skipping breakfast or having a sub 100cal breakfast so I can eat everything later on

intermitent fasting and highfat lowcarb both worked for me, even separate.

Tates are ok? Thought they're a bad carb still

intermittent fasting is what did it for me.

Cut is going ok. I need to push myself to eat even less.

Goal body is something like the guy in pic related.

Only calories matter, and potatoes are denser than pasta so they leave me a lot fuller, even if I eat a calorically smaller amount. IIRC they're the highest scoring carb by satiety, but maybe sweet potatoes beat them out

I'd also recommend looking into beltsander brownies if you have a sweet tooth like me

Plus I'm like 18% bf so idk why I'm not losing 2+lb per week

Gonna start cutting april 1st. Am I gonna be able to get lean just by cutting all the junk I normally eat? I eat a lot of chips and cookies. I'm also gonna add in two cardio days a week.
I feel like a hard 500kcal deficit cut would be bad idea because I'm fairly lean as it is and I'm afraid I'd lose too much muscle.

user I don’t know you and never will but I’m glad you’ve found your golden nugget and you’ve made positive changes my dude.

I'm losing strength.
My squat went from 5x5 at 225lb to 3x3 at 225lb, and I was really struggling with that.
My deadlift went from 3x5 255lb to 3x3 255lb.
My bench stayed the same at 5x5 for 165, but I have been benching more often and I am completely out of energy after the 5x5.
I went from 180lb to 172lb, I think I have not her 5lb to go.
Will the lost strength come back after I bulk? Is it even lost strength or more just loss of energy?

that's not a strength loss. That's just a bad day. 1 cheat meal and your strength is back

>How is your cut going?
A lot faster than I anticipated
>What is your cardio?
N/A
>Any routine changes?
I finally started counting calories and jumped on the intermittent fasting boat. I've recently discovered that eggs, vegetables and greek yogurt aren't a meme.

Is 1500 calories per day too few? I've been losing weight quite fast (just over 3000 TDEE), but my strength is disappearing with it.

>How is your cut going?
1 month in, lost a bit over 10 lbs. Honestly I just fasted a day and now I don't even get hungry. I eat one meal a day that's usually around 500 cals. If I feel really low energy maybe a small 300 calorie snack. Done it pretty much every day this month.
>What is your cardio?
PPLPPLx except I don't have leg equipment at the house so I run around the block to exhaustion.
>Any routine changes?
Adding a second workout made up of bodyweight stuff to each day since I'm NEET and it's the only exercise I get. Been having trouble sleeping due to still having energy at the end of the day. Probably gonna add a 30 min-1h walk to the cardio days as well.

>goal body
Not any other person, just myself but shredded.

are you not concerned about losing muscle due to low protein intake?

Not especially. My strength hasn't suffered much, but my meals are pretty much just meat. I expect to lose some, but once I'm in shape I can start getting it back.

hmmmm, I might try out one meal a day on my two rest days, I'm fucking sick of my weight loss plateaus

Its going good! Im in 2 weeks, 4 weeks ago i started cardio.

>cardio is 40ish minutes of steady 2-3x a week and HIIT 1-2x a week.

>no real routine changes, still floundering between bro-splits and strength training routines.

This is the first time in my life im giving a formal "cut" a go. It feels fucking great, dealing with hunger sucks and sometimes i get tired, but ive learned how to deal with it and it makes everything else in life seem easier.

Diet has been good, eating clean and eating often. Im on that chicken rice and broccli shit 4-5times a day. I nly eat rice before and after training sessions. Drinking a ton of water.

Down about 4 pounds and I can see a difference altough its not dramatic, Yet. Im Willing to go as long as it takes with this, im 190 now, thinking 175 should have me pretty ripped. I have to sleep more and im not as horny.

All aboard the gainz train

>How is your cut going?
Shit, fat loss has stalled
>What is your cardio?
5KM run 3x per week, just got back running after a month of snow so taking it slow to ease back in
>Any routine changes?
I've had to dump a shit tone of volume from my lifts but I'm still within 5KG of my old 5 rep maxes

is it normal to not feel hungry after starting IF? I eat between 4-10PM and never feel hungry during the day or evening anymore, and a banana keeps me satiated before I hit the gym at lunch time

Attached: y.jpg (540x720, 41K)

Yes, hunger is habitual. Once you're used to not eating outside those time frames the hunger slowly fades. I'm the same way now, and it makes things MUCH easier.

>falling for the "cardio while cutting" meme

Attached: 1244734352954.jpg~c200.jpg (200x200, 13K)

i think everyone is aware it's not necessary, but sometimes it's easier to burn a bit more through moving than it is to eat that bit less

thanks friend, I've just felt strange not being hungry after starting IF, when I was eating at random I'd be starving all the time but now i;m fine desu, guess it wasn't a meme all along

Started lifting again back in December. Did 500 cal/day cut. Lost a few pounds. New data (a full body DXA scan) showed I had a lot more bodyfat than I thought. So I recalculated my TDEE with that new information and dropped another 100 cals/day in addition. Plus I've added 3x/week cardio, at least. Losing around a pound a week, it seems.

I ate pizza for the first time in a while last night and today (leftovers). It was super high in calories, but not really fulfilling. I'm hungry. I'll probably have to go over my cals today just to get in my protein. Oh well. It's just a couple of days. It's the first time I've done something like that, and I don't plan to do it again anytime soon.

i really hope most of these are fake
especially the rape one what the fuck?
