I bought the book and it has over 50 training programs with instructions on who the program is best for, what training max to use, accessories, conditioning, iteven teaches you how to string together the different programs with an end goal in mind. One of the more comprehensive strength training books I've seen in awhile.
listen russians had 80 special exercise for their weightlifters. Our guys are the strongest in the world we only choose from 45 you see this is powerlifting its simple you pick a couple and apply the repetition method. The repetition method is the greatest method in the world i actually came up with this in 87' when i read the books of verkhonsanksky and bompa. you take single joint isolation movement 40 pound dumbell do this for 20 30 reps within 60 seconds and repeat this for 10 minutes for 40 100 reps 4000 pounds of volume, its pure math

You do what works for you, but those openers looked a little slow for my preference.
They should be fine when the meet comes around. The last two times I've ran this kind of setup for a meet/mock meet in terms of prep my openers always looked slow(much slower than this) when I did them before, and when I did them in the meet they moved quickly. I appreciate the concern, but I should be okay.
