How do you start a conversation in the gym, Jow Forums? Not with people who have earplugs in, obviously.

i thought that chair was her entire ass
Jow Forums has ruined me
You mean this one?
yeah man
How the fuck did you imagine that? Draw it out for me, please.
chair is black and her clothes too. so i thought she was sitting on the floor and her ass was like a big cushion submerging her body into her ass
you don’t
you mind your own business and just work out
everyone’s there for one reason
work out not meet new bfffffffff
>the gym is not a place to meet people
calm down, we're not all autists
>hey bro you should get a hobby! you'll meet new people and make friends!
>get into weightlifting and fitness
>go to gym
>plenty of people
>everybody has earphones and nobody wants to talk to you
Don't forget people who take 5 minute breaks between sets to look on their phone, while hogging the machine/weights.
This is the correct answer. If anyone starts talking to me, they get a very ugly look to start with. If they continue talking with me, they'll get "why are you talking to me?" If they try to justify it, that's the third strike: "Go away. I'm busy and focusing on my training."

whats the solution
Steal their cells and clone them for your own pleasure.
Get a date through your friend’s girlfriend and work from there
If you regularly work out at the same time usually by acknowledging them and being friendly. Hard to go beyond that, usually have to ask them something about their workout.
If you see them outside of the gym you can start a conversation with "Hey, don't you go to/work at..."
Keep your conversations under 5 mins, they're at the gym to work out, not socialize.
Saaaauuuce please
o shit i see it.
tip tip
You don't. You fuck off and let them work out.
>You're in school to learn, not to meet people
>You're in the concert to listen to the band, not to meet people
>You're in the park to walk your dog, not to meet people
I usually do finger guns, a wink, and some air smooches.
You dont. Everyone will hear what you say and its always cringey gay shit.
Some relatively normal, good looking, tall dude tried hitting on a 7/10 the other day and it was embarassing as fuck.
>Hey, I saw you working out.. What do you call that exercise you do..
>Her: mumble mumble
>Him: Oh thanks haaha
hit on girls in the street
Is this a big deal to some people? I'm not too bothered by it but as my lifts have gone up the time I need to recover has gone up too. Not noticeable at first, from 2 minutes to 3, then slowly over 5 months it's gone up to 5. I get weird looks now while i sit watching YouTube, listening to a podcast or SoundCloud.
I mean, is there any way I can counteract this? Or should I just do what I've always done and just turn down people who ask for the machine and just do my stuff at my pace.
Don't play on your fucking phone. And let people work in if you're going to be resting in the time it will take someone else do their set. If you really need that much time to recover, don't bullshit on your phone.
Taking more time to rest between sets significantly decreases injury risk and increases overall performance.
Rest for however long you want and do whatever the fuck you want during your rest but vacate the fucking equipment so others can use it too.
Got invited to one of pt's bday. She is not my personal pt or anything like that (too poor too afford one). We just kind of got to know each other well as well as other pts because I am a regular in the gym and sometimes when its empty I go and chat with them.
Trying to make friends with other gym users is a waste if time.
The only acceptable place for me is the sauna or basketball court. Or join a class and talk to people when the class lets out. But I go to normie gyms like 24 and LA so I dont know if yours has these amenities. The only time I talk to someone in the weights area is if they look like they need a spot or I do.
>turn down people
why on earth, just let them work in between your sets
Most classes are just middle-aged women
Same as anywhere else. The rules don't change just because it's the gym. She has already decided whether or not she likes you before you even say anything.
If she likes you, then it doesn't matter what you say, she'll go for it.
If she doesn't like you, then you're a creepy autist and you're already guilty of harassment/stalking.
And you're supposed to already know which of the above applies to you BEFORE you say anything.
