Is there anything the fucking Barbell Row can't do? What's your favourite type of Row?
I also find wearing lifting shoes allows me to get more trap engagement

I find when I do rows from the floor, bringing it to the chest with slight suspension at the top, I get both a nice trap and rear delt engagement, but also a mad low back pump.
>fav rows
from the floor, hanging, Pendlay
>least favourite
one arm dumbbell row, double underhand. Sorry, Yates.
>most underrated row
One arm cable row from a kneeling position.
how do I do rows without stressing my lower back?
I love the feeling of rows but just worry about snapping my shit up
belts
strengthen your core
hold your breath and tense your glutes harder
least favorite: pendlay row, honorable mention to barbell row
favorite: db row, chest supported row
crack a walnut in your butt
I hate barbell rows. T bar is my favourite
thanks guys. I was surprised how much weight I could pull doing these though. could do 1 plate no problem for 10 reps, and pushed it up to 1.5 for about 7-8. This from never having done one before in my life. Feels good man
>heavy one hand db rows
>obliques doms
fuck me mate but i love it
This
Every time I've tried to do BB Rows I get a striking pain in my lower abdomen, so I just dropped the lift.
I can do DL and SQ in the 200kg range and I never have that issues, so I am not sure what the fuck is up with BB Rows.
I'd like to know how to do them because overloading DB Rows is kind of annoying.
>Is there anything the fucking Barbell Row can't do?
Fix my lumbar lordosis.
Fuck having an open vertebrae.
Reminder to row as much as you bench and pull-up as much as you OHP
>anything the fucking Barbell Row can't do?
It can't make me feel less lonely
Really?
How fucked am I ?
Bodyweight is 90kg.
>Bench 100kg
>Row 60kg
>Pullup 110kg (BW+20kg plate)
>Press 70kg
I don't know how to make my Row higher, anytime I do more than 60kg I just start to get form break down and pain.
Rows are an explosive lift. Don't be a GDE and "squeeze the rep"
>pull-up as much as you OHP
How the fuck do you pullup as muc has you OHP?
Hang upside down and row the bar to your chin?
Yeah I know, its that explosiveness that makes my abs hurts. I dont know how to stop it from hurting.
Its like a sharp pain, Im guessing if I kept on doing it Id get a hernia.
cheat
dont state pull up weight, what is the pull down weight... pull up weight is fudged by upper body mass being excluded from the movement and twigs who skip leg day
What dya guys think about this dumbbell row?
Sometimes i forget, only during those 8 reps
Stop beeing autistic. user was talking about frequency.
Don't push more than you pull (shoulder imbalance). The best would be to pull more than you push
>Favorite row:
one handed dumbbell row with a slight underhand grip, from a tripod position
I never felt too much of a muscle connection with rows so I mostly stick to chinups and shrugs
I've tried super slow cadence sets, explosive sets, lightweights, cheating reps with hella weight ... but for some reason the exercise doesn't agree with me (pretty much all variants besides one high pull machine in my gym and cable rows)
any tips? I would love to reincorporate them but for now it seems counterproductive
I really don't get how to do rows. I never feel them in my lats or upper back and i feel like no one else in my gym knows how to do them either. Doesn't help that there are like a million variations out there.
I'll stick to weighted chin ups for lats and facepulls for rear delts
How bent over are you supposed to actually be during barbell rows?
If I lean so I’m almost parallel to the floor, I can’t row for shit because I feel all the stress on my lower back.
What’s most comfortable is about a 45 degree back angle, I can feel my lats retract, but don’t know if it’s using the muscles “optimally”
oof my lower back

Should I add my OHP weight to my weighted pull-ups?
bp
Slight bend at the knees and brace properly.
there's no such thing as an optimal bent over row, just brace properly and make sure the weight is in line with your center of gravity
keep your form consistent, explosively contract your back muscles, switch to the pendlay row once you can because it's baller
This. Anyone have a form video?
your back should be parallel to the floor for maximum range of motion
if your lower back is so weak that it cant handle it, work on your core
i hate fags that do rows with barely bent over backs... so inefficient
pendlay rows
Landmine rows
Is rowing for reps above your bodyweight considered decent?
fuck me in the ass daddy
It doesn't help that there aren't any competent guides to rowing. Look at the Omar Issuf video with the strongman guy. Most of it is just a guy saying "just row guys xD" instead of describing the correct form and why I should choose one type of row over the other

you can see Alan Thrall in the audience, learning from Rip, but if you prefer Thrall:
first time i did upright rows i did low weight and almost knocked myself out whrn i hit my chin with the bb kek
