5’7 200 and I have trouble losing fat, but no trouble gaining strength or muscle and fat, and this is with 6+ years lifting

1 mcdouble is 420 cals and 24 grams of protein, it's fine if you're still relatively young. Eat 5 per day...a dollar something each.

I've kept a constant weight of 150lbs over the past 8 years or so. No change in diet or physical activity has affected it at all.

I could pack away 5kcal a day easy, often have done and still felt hungry. Cutting for me is a battle against stuffing enough low cal veg into myself that I have no desire for anything nice

find out what you normally eat everyday. It's probably like 1200-1500 calories. Add one sandwich to that everyday for a week. Next week, add two. Week after that, add an entire meal, and so on. You have to train your body in being comfortable with adding more food to your daily diet.

I was about your stats 2 years ago: 130lbs at 6', currently 200lbs (still at 6). The key is litterally oats and squats. Take a decent linear strength program with some accesory volume work, and eat right. Look up IIFYM and shit like that and learn a little bit about diets. Don't forget to eat your carbs. I had over 350gs of carbs in my first decent diet (might be more or less for you tho). It aint rocket science.
