I like highbar because I have the mobility for atg, but I do feel like my strength gains have slowed past 3.5plate. I wanna do lowbar but I can't be bothered figuring out proper form. Started off high bar then began to get some knee pain (patellar tendonitis) so switched to low bar. I've been doing that for a while now. Done some high bar squats recently though and felt no knee pain so I've been altering between low and high.

Front Squats to make everyone else look soft.
I'd recommend a combo of front squats and barbell hip thrusts. Glutes are very important for sprints, so you should target them directly with thrusts. Front and highbar are the best for athletes and are essentially equal with front using a bit more of the quads.

Prefer lowbar because it feels much more comfy. I do either depending on where I'm at in my training.

High bar has greater knee flexion, low bar higher hip flexion. Low bar also has LOWER dorsiflexion of the ankle.

I might not have exactly the proper bar positon for lowbar squats, but on top of not feeling as secure they absolutely destroy my scapulas spines.
To the point I was so bruised I couldn't even low bar the next lifting day.
So despite being tall with very long femurs, it's high bar for me, feels much more secure on my traps and I can put over 3 plates without having a purple back.
