Overnight Oats

What does Jow Forums think about them? Are they a good breakfast or a meme?

Oats are God tier. High protein, fibre, iron, low fat. You ever seen an out of shape racehorse muthafugga?

I prefer just wetting my oats.

not op but gonna try these

can i make a big batch or will it go bad or soggy?

can i use the full non instant oats?

can i also store some in the freezer?

My main concern is that they may be too high in sugar (even if I try to be as mindful of that as possible when choosing ingredients). I agree oats are god tier

good in the summer as they are cold, good because they are quick in the morning as you don't need to cook them. (i don't have a microwave to microwave cook the oats)

Just got into these last week, enjoying them a lot

I do 1/2 cup oats, skim milk just until they're covered, mixed chopped berries, then a big ole half cup of Fage greek yogurt (crazy protein content)

I really don't like them straight out of the fridge though, so I just empty the jar into a bowl, mix it up, and toss it in the microwave for 60 seconds, just enough to bring it to room temperature. Add honey, cinnamon, whatever to taste. DELICIOUS.

I made 5 days' worth and it was totally fine.
If you wash your berries, definitely dry them off afterward (before chopping) to stop them from getting soggy or going mushy. My chopped strawberries were still great and crisp.
Yes, use full oats, not instant
I don't know about freezer, worth an experiment

Well I wouldn't call oats high in protein hahaha but yeah it's passable but not a main food at all

thanks ill start doing all of those, i just put some in the freezer if this threads still up ill post a pic

Id call oats a good source of protein

Overnight oats with milk/chocolate brownie whey is god tier, ive been eating every day twice a day for a year and you can add PB... Only starting to get tired of them slightly but if you use enough milk they can be drank.

>Dont know about freezer , worth experimenting
Inb4 overnight oats overnight explode

i set mine in a non glass tupperware with the lid off

will it explode?

>Id call oats a good source of protein

5g for 150 calories is a horrific ratio unless you are taking advantage of the price cause you are a poorfag and sick of beans

you'll be fine, user

Price and calories, im eating as much as i can really,

it isn't good to store shit in the freezer uncovered but i guess one night should be alright

I use my protein shaker, that way i can drink them.

Inb4 fridge explode

you might be right actually, fridge could explode better not risk it

Woah woah woah hold on. What the fuck are "overnight" oats?

uncooked oats (quick oats work best) soaked in milk/yogurt and left in the fridge overnight. By morning the oats would have absorbed enough liquid to turn into some kind of cold porridge.

I started making mine with added maple syrup and fresh fruit.

I'll definitely try adding whey next time! That would make them even better

I aint got time for that.
eat oats raw out of box crew reporting in

I've stored mine in the freezer and its fine
