Lifting at 25

16-21 is the ideal time to lift and gain mass. If you didn’t start then, there is literally no point to lifting anymore unless you’re fine with being capped at a low level.

>enter gym
>see fit 18 yo football player curling plates
>see 17 yo squatting twice his bodyweight
>everyone stops and laughs at the skinnyfat 25 yo coming in to attempt to even rack the weights
>his arms shake as he does so
Fucking pathetic. Anyone 21+ is the laughing stock of the gym.

I started at 15, then quit at 19.

Spent 19-24 getting into a 6 fig job.

Then started again at 24, now I am 31, best shape of my life.

Why you mad though?

Who gives a shit about being competitive in a sport that doesn't even pay the bills?

True. This is all so true. I'm 23 and I barely have any gains at the gym. It's such a shame because I started to lift when I was 16, but quit at 18 because I was so depressed. If I had been lifting this whole time I'd have a good life, but instead I'm destitute, losing teeth, getting sick all the time, literally a fat skeleton.

My life is over. I'm a 23 year old grandpa. Fuck this gay Earth.

>that 25 y/o in the gym
Lol go start a family oldfag. Sorry about your hairlines.

most people at 16-21 you are too dumb to lift properly, you can start at any age

>all the angry grandpas in this thread
Don’t you have to go to sleep 25 year olds? You have work in the morning. You ARE having kids soon, right?

this is the state of Jow Forums unfunny fags ruining the oldfag meme.
least /tv/ doesn't burn a meme down in a DAY

this is the dumbest post i've ever seen

>that guy that unironically writes demotivational posts instead of just memeing

>23
>graduating in college in a month
>will be making 60k a year with a job already locked up
>best shape of my life
>regularly hookup with girls on the weekend because I have the age, money, and looks to do so
Probably bait but kill yourself

lol who tf has kids at 25

I'm making 180k at 22 (only 40 hours/week). How does this make you feel?

>Sorry about your hairlines.

tfw 20 years old but already balding

Your test falls off after puberty but keeps going up man. It has it's second peak at 25 and stays that level until around 30. Past 30 is kind of a bad time to start, but it's better late than never. I switched to a low volume, but daily fullbody routine simply because the dopamine rush I get from lifting makes me feel good all day.

that guy needs a hug and a cookie

Jake Paul is 21 and makes at least 50 times that much. What's your point? I got a fucking rad life brah, could care less how much other people are making

This is 2018. After 30 if you play your cards right past 30 your test reaches the same level as puberty with the magic of modern medicine.

This. Fucking bandwagoners ruin everything. I never thought I'd see the day when Jow Forums beat a meme to death faster than /tv/ which is the god emperor king board when it comes to that shit.

Is these "lifting at 30+" threads the new manlet/lanklet shit, except people 30+ don't actually give a shit about the opinions of youngfags?

Even this isn't entirely true, iirc there's a whole lot of issues with measument error for testosterone.

At least this paper actually suggests that there isn't all that much of a difference past 20, and none past 40.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4190174/

Even worse, the paper also suggests that variance increases by age. Maybe, but I'm not sure, lifestyle factors that affect testosterone production have a greater variance as you age (e.g. diet, stress, etc) and their averages work against test production (e.g. if stress has a negative effect on test production, and you are more stressed as you become a grown up because of the extra responsibilities, then maybe there is no inherent decrease in test production by age, it's just about lifestyle).

And, more generally, look at the plot of test by age in figure 1 and you'll see there's quite a lot of variance at any age, even at the average peak (19).

Fuck you guys are even shit at shitposting. What do you have left?
