Why should there have to be a compromise? Also why should fish be considered any less of an animal?

no you could just reduce your meat consumption a bit instead of gobbling 10 chicken breasts per day to fuel your 3 sets of curls and texting in the squat rack sessions

Welcome to Mercury Poisoning: population: You.

If meat is so good for us then why doesnt it grow naturally on the land like fruit and vegetables do? Think about that.

No.

Vegans are morally consistent and the "norm" (including you) isn't.

wow my mind is blown away by your philosophical viewpoints

Kek, this

Unless you fish them locally from somewhere you're absolutely sure has clean water, you're fucked

you thing modern day vegetables and fruit are grown "naturally" ?

nightshade grows naturally too, try it

while perhaps 100 billion land animals are killed each year for humans the number of sea creatures is tenfold that

No.
It's not a 'compromise', it's the optimal diet.

Just eat smaller fishes, low in the food chain, and you'll be fine.
>Small fish ingests small amount of mercury, your body can deal with it
>Big fish ingests small amount of mercury PLUS it eats the smaller fishes and their own mercury, mercury accumulation skyrockets, your body can't deal with it anymore

Fun Fact: Sharks' bodies are 50% cartilage, and 50% mercury

Add some poultry in there too for extra protons and you should be good

eat whatever you want, the psychological impact of a strict diet will have a worse effect on your health than your diet assuming you don't eat garbage and you are not obese

it sounds scatty

I did it for a few months. Spent a ridiculous amount of money while bulking.

eating insentient bivalves is

it's called ostrovegan

it's not cute

Fish don't have personality or intelligence

It's pretty fucked that we can't eat certain fish because of pollution. The whole thing sounds like it should be part of a dystopian society.

Fish feel pain just as much as other animals
They suffer quite a bit more because they slowly suffocate to death instead of being zapped and capped

Who gives a fuck about that

There's a lot to be said in favor of a high seafood diet. Particularly since it played such a large role in our migration out of Africa and as we settled down near large waterways and bodies of water.

Fish are the most reliable source of DHA and EPA to support our massive brain gains over time.

If you were going to limit your animal protein to one source you could do worse. The thing to watch out for is marine bioaccumulation of mercury. It isn't a joke. Eat smaller species on the food chain in preference to larger longer lived species.

In addition make sure to get spirulina which has strong cheating properties against heavy metals.

Dunno, why else would you do something supremely faggy like abstaining from meat if not to act morally superior?
Want to attain Auschwitz mode?

I meant who cares about relative suffering, just eat it all

>migration out of Africa
They found older bones in Croatia I believe. 100,000 years older than those in Africa

You just suck at fishing.

That doesn't change the fact that the entirety of the modern western and eastern world migrated out of Africa and can be traced back to three distinct drought periods as evidenced by the three known genetic mutations that allow lactose consumption post-puberty

Literally no need.

no, the oceans are completely fished out.

Probably not as much because they lack one of the two nerve types if I remember correctly but they do feel pain.

Where did you read that? I could only find this, and it's still in africa but it's 100.00 years older : theguardian.com/science/2017/jun/07/oldest-homo-sapiens-bones-ever-found-shake-foundations-of-the-human-story

Not so true, depends on the fish. Differet species different amounts of intelligence. We also dont really spend any time trying to figure out fish psychology or personality.
Theres also some stuff showing that fish in farms actually commit suicide of a sort. They just start swimming down and down.

Sea food diets are mostl more sustainable than most plant based diets specially plant based diets that rely a lot on rice or fruits/nuts.

Sardines are literally more sustainable than almonds or peanuts, and they have a fuckton of vitamin D and omega 3 fatty acids.

you dont need fish. there is DHA in eggs.

That wasn't from a homo sapiens, it was from some other archaic species in the homo genus.
Although the oldest homo sapiens remains found were in northern morocco really close to the iberian peninsula, there is a possiblity that they might have reached southwestern too around the same time.

there is a possibility that they might have reached southwestern europe too around the same time*

Not every fish has high mercury you fucking mong

Most of the (((fish))) that you're gonna find in the supermarket is farm-raised bullshit from China that ate cornmeal and food dye for most of its life (they literally feed farm-raised salmon special dye to give its flesh the pink/orange color that you find in wild-caught salmon).

If you're going pescatarian for the perceived health benefits, it's not worth it unless you live somewhere where there's a fish market and you can buy the catch of the day.

Not to mention our bodies get rid of toxic heavy metals in the body over time, the problem is when people eat way too much over time and don't let their bodies excrete it.

Sardinian traditional diets are filled with fish, yet they have no heavy metal toxicity issues because they eat the right type of fish, mostly hake, sardines, herring, codfish and oysters/mussels.

Animal products are shit for your health and eating fish is a garbage “compromise”.
Redpill yourself on the McDougall diet. No added oils or fats in your diet and no animal products.
