user best advice I can give is pop them, drain them, take off all excess skin, put some good moisturizing cream on them and wrap em up with bandages or gauze. Put some gloves on over them for extra padding.
And start wearing gloves to the gym.
When you grip the bar for pulling movements, make sure that lump of flesh (that now has those callouses) is completely on the side of the bar that is closest to you. On pushing movements it's the opposite.
That might be confusing, so long story short: do not impinge that hunk of flesh with the bar. It must be on one side or the other such that when you are performing the movement, it is not being compressed. There is a picture; I'll post it when I find it.

I've tried this but it slips out of my fingers.
Get a pumice stone, you can find them near the footcare stuff at a pharmacy. In the shower, wet your hands and the stone. Without applying too much pressure, move back and forth along the callus. The pumice can make your skin extremely raw, so its going to take a few sessions before you get them down, just be patient
Then your grip is the weakest link. If you care, drop the weight and start over so your grip follows. If you couldn't give a shit about your grip strength, just grab some straps.
It gets better as your grip form improves. Basically follow this
Lightly sand and lotion once a week helps too
Learn to grip the bar correctly and use a pumice stone
Just cut the dead skin with manicure scissors or wire cutter

Theyre generally for your feet but you can use it on those calluses aswell
Just soak your hands in warm water and use it to grind them down

Torn callous can be mitigated using straps. Temporarily. After healing, leave the straps.

I can barely pull 2 plates without it slipping, how far back do I need to reset my weight with this grip? I was always gripping it at the top of the pad, along the connection of my fingers and palm.

I use a knife and cut them off, same with my feet ones. Not sure if it's good or bad but it's entertaining when they get large enough.
If you want tough hands then get rubbing alcohol and dab them with that for 15min everyday.
don't listen to him. your grip strength will get stronger the more you deadlift. if your fingers are slipping use chalk. most of the time you have moisture in your hands and is not your grip strength holding you back.
besides if you're doing your working set and your grip is holding you back just use mixed grip.
I went from only being able to mix grip 3 plates to being able to double overhand after a while.

I use them too. No callouses since I bought them.
Grip pads actually increased my lifts (especially OHP) and muscle hypertrophy, since I can lift to muscle exhaustion instead of being limited by my skin hurting. I know there is a stigma against them but after trying them I think its bullshit by insecure fucks. People who only lift to look cool in the gym and dont care about actual results.

Just use straps for your working set and then drop the weight and work on grip. Go back to 1 pl8 if you need to and just add weight slowly. High volume strapless rackpulls will help if you don't want to keep dropping the bar from lockout. I've had success increasing my grip from 1 pl8 to 2 with this method.
Take a bath or let hands soak in water for a while, then cut the skin off with a razor just shave them off, or use a file there are special ones for callouses that mainly climbers use
