>you will snap city in the short or long run >calluses that makes you look like a extreme masturbator >literally too easy to progress its bored >you look like you are constipated when repping close to your RM >no benefits at all, who the fuck needs strong glutes and strong spinal erectors >nobody cares about how much you DL >literally the favorite lift of 30 years old guys at the gym
This is how you look like when deadlifting, like a total clown trying to cope with life, deadlifting is for nerds powerlifters the sooner you realize this the better
my grandpa got his arms torn out of their sockets by doing weighted bb flies
Easton Parker
dl is my favorite lift because I feel the best doing it and have made the most progress on it
Austin Butler
i really enjoy deadlifting and it's my favorite lift (lol lanklet arms), i've been doing it consistently since i started lifting in high school so about 6-7 years
but if you're only interested in size, the deadlift is absolutely a meme, it's the path of most resistance and most wear and tear to getting bigger hamstrings and glutes and erectors, it sucks up a ton of energy and is hard to recover from, and carries a higher risk of lower back injury than anything else
Ryan Wright
Deadlift is the most applicable movement to your daily life lmao
Zachary Perez
Of course idiot, like i mentioned above everyone can pull 500/600 lbs from floor even with cucked genes
Your grandpa got his arms torn when he saw you browsing this anime image board that was set up because other board banned pedophilic cartoon images of men having sex with kids
You should have stopped deadlifting a long time ago and focusing on pull ups, presses and maybe squats
the best wrestler of all time would pick his opponents up off the ground like a deadlift when he stopped being able to deadlift 300 pound dudes off the floor he stopped winning
Julian Murphy
I know it's a meme thread, but what are some good substitutes for DL? I'm just starting to lift and my doc advised me strongly to forego most of the barbell exercises until I fix my god fucking awful posture. And DL is one of the worst ones in that regard, even with proper from it creates immense pressure on the lower back.
I have hereditary back pain. had dealt with it my whole life. literally the day after I deadlifted for the first time my back was cured. I will always be grateful to it.
Colton Powell
You're being mean for no reason sir
Chase Davis
not everyone lifts for aesthetics you faggot
Justin Allen
>You should have stopped deadlifting a long time ago and focusing on pull ups, presses and maybe squats
not deadlift atm but not by choice, i do loads of presses and pulls and squats
for size i would rank deadlift last among all exercises, when i first pulled 500 i looked like a literal skeleton
picking something awkward shaped up off the ground is so far removed from a conventional deadlift done with a bar with spinning collars that can be brought right against your shins
you are not going to notice a difference in your ease of box lifting from getting your deadlift to 500+ more than you would if you had just gotten strong at squatting, front squatting, etc.
