Any way to get rid of dark circles under eyes...

Any way to get rid of dark circles under eyes? I go to sleep at 10-12 PM every night and sleep for 7-8 hours consistently and have a good diet. Is there something I'm lacking? I've had them mostly my whole life but I used to have a shit sleep pattern too.

Do you smoke or drink? That can cause it. But it's sort of genetic, but there are a few things you can do to try and help it, like creams or treatments (with tea bags or something)

Pretty much never, drink like twice a month at most. Like I said I've had it since I was really young, my dad kind of has them but they're not too noticeable, definitely less than me and his sleep is way worse. I'm 22 now and they're the same as when I was like 10.

Its completely genetic, like balding. You cant dk anything about it

Try getting more sun. Cut out excess caffien/stimulants. Triple check your diet. Dont lie to yourself. Eliminate stress. Most importantly get enough sleep.

Rub some vitamin c serum underneath your eyes every morning and evening.

Green leaf veggies, sleep, fresh air and sun.

Cut out phone, computer and television use completely - don't look at screens, not even the microwave timer. Get your news from newspaper and get your memes from the weekly Jow Forums newsletter.

only thing I can think of is hydration, but if you have a good diet as you say shouldn't be a problem...

Although sleep and stress and diet and all can be contributing factors it’s likely just genetic, I have the same problem. Tbh the best move is to just use an under eye concealer, it’s really impossible for others to tell and it almost completely eliminates your dark circles

Sorry to say but if it's genetic like mine, nothing helps. I've researched this very thoroughly.

bump for intrest

any good creames or treatments you guys would recommend?

You could try hydroquinone. You'd have to apply it regularly over the course of weeks for it to take effect, but it would work.

Hi Alex

try sleeping 9-10 hours if 7-8 is not working, some people just need more sleep (tough luck)

Don't masturbate

Thanks for the responses bros. One thing I thought of is I usually sleep on my stomach and my face presses against the pillow a lot obviously. When I wake up my eyes are puffier and darker than normal. Could this be causing my dark circles and should I try sleeping on my back? Then again the circles get worse when I'm sleep deprived too so maybe they're something else.

I find this works if I do it. I take a hot shower/or just wash with hot water to open the pores and clean your face. (What kind of soap you use may depend on your skin, I just use black soap.) Then you wash your face off with cold water but really make sure you thoroughly wash your face with cold water. Then immediately lotion your face (I use cocoa butter lotion), in this case make sure you apply it around your eyes go keep the moisture. While I'm making breakfast, I should mention I also do this before work every morning, I leave two spoons in the freezer for a bit or just really while you're eating or even before you start your morning routine. Get them out and place the curved part of the spoon over your eye sockets and rub in circles to get the blood vessels pumping. I do this and my dark circles really fade or at least aren't as harsh looking.

If I dont sleep with a pillow I get them and it turns out this is true. Your blood just pools in your eye sockets if you lay down like that. It's good every now and then to sleep without a pillow but adding pillows to your sleep should help with dark circles.

I'll try it. I hope you're not tryna just make me look like a retard for rubbing freezing spoons on my eyes. Thanks

The dark circles are caused by inflammation, blood pooling under the eyes. What you need is to reduce the inflammation. The user who posted about vitamin C serum is right, and so is the cold spoons user, both would reduce inflammation. I've experimented with a mixture of coconut oil and turmeric (potent anti-inflammatory), which works really well. Ideally you leave it on overnight, or at least an hour or two, but it's tricky cause the turmeric will stain fabrics.

I know it sounds pretty silly but you can look this up and people actually do it. The coldness will make the blood vessels pump and skin will follow. It helps my sunken eyes look more filled out.
