Thank you. I was kinda fit a year ago, worked out for a couple months but then when I got back from vacation I went from 178 to 210 in maybe 7 months . It was a slippery slope. I also bulked for most of March, which was a mistake.

5'10 weight was 210 on the left, I went down to 178 then bulked back up to 195 now I'm back down to 188 on the right. When I wasn't a bulking I ate around 2500-3000 calories a day for a month because I wanted to gain a little bit of muscle . Now I'm eating at around 1500 because I wanna lose as much fat as I can before the 23rd. I use intermittent fasting so I only eat from 12-6 I do cardio every day and weight lifting 4 times a week

Not since the summer mate, first pic was taken the day after I ran a half marathon but i've been (attempting) to lift over the winter.
i've almost doubled most of my lifts but i'm not seeing any gains.
BP 5x5 65 - 130 lbs
DL 5x5 100 - 180 lbs
OP 5x5 40 - 75lbs
Bent Over Row 5x5 65 - 90 lbs
Chin Ups 2 - 5x5
SQ - N/A right now due to leg injury
I think I just haven't reach the point where i can make gains yet. Not to mention I haven't got my diet 100% under control yet...

You just have to keep getting stronger dude. A 130lb bench and 180lb deadlift are baby weights. When you’re benching 200 for reps and pulling 315 on the other hand...
Very possible, the first two months were an absolute shit show of trying to figure shit out. I probably didn't start at my maxes for each exercise either.
Should I be concerned about not being able to do squats right now? are there exercises I can do to replace it while my leg heals?
Can’t replace squat but you can do leg presses in the meantime to build quads

I haven't done any form of training since my early teens, but i'm thinking i'll follow Rippletoe's starting strength routine with squads at 50kg, bench at 40, deadlift at 60. Does this sound at all reasonable?

You can achieve any novice goal with Starting Strength, depending on your genes and how much they allow you to ride the wave of linear progression. Just read the fucking book, unlike 99% of the retards on this board.

Start eating a bunch to bulk. Calc your min daily maintenance, and then start eating 500ish good cals (tuna, beans, eggs, broccoli, chicken, blah blah) above that while also being consistent about lifting. You can't build muscle without also adding fat, so you need to bulk first, then cut after the gains to lean out.
