That being said, if you have a kid with Downs or ASD, it's not the end of the world. A vast majority can learn to communicate and behave functionally. There are people with ASD who, with early intervention and through ABA therapy, live extremely functionally and who you likely can't even tell are autistic at first. You might eventually be able to tell because of quirks, but they aren't a nuisance or burden on anybody and can live quite independently. Similar with downs, though they will always immediately be identified by their disorder due to the physical nature of it.

There are a lot worse things to be, like a neurotypical adult virgin dyel that posts on Jow Forums.
