I have a similar problem.

I've just started recently hanging out with this girl. I asked her out on a date, she said she has a boyfriend, let's go as friends. While I'm head over heels to get to spend any quality time with a girl, and I do feel like we're getting along, I can't help but feel like I'm digging my own grave. I'm falling for her more each time we meet, but it crushes me every time she mentions her boyfriend. I was willing to give up on the whole relationship, but she keep re-engaging me. One class mate tells me she's obviously into me, and from stalking her on Facebook (don't you judge me) she takes no pictures / mentions her boyfriend. She doesn't flirt with me, I don't think, but keeps taking the initiative and it's throwing me off.

I've had very close/best female friends since the end of high school and the friendships have always been very rewarding, though seemingly more fleeting than some other less rewarding friendships.
