Can bones still get thicker in your early 20s? I have chicken bones

you can still gain a little bit of bone density, but at that point your frame is your frame (unless you start taking GH)

Im not enjoying my 1x5 DL in my program. Today i tried 3x5 rack pulls instead and really enjoyed them and got a pump from them too, is 3x5 rack pulls a reasonable swap?

If i cant ohp in the squat rack, where can i?

I'm 30 and I just had a bone get thicker. Damn that chick is hot.

most gyms should have a dedicated ohp rack, albeit you have to sit to do them the way God intended. ask the receptionist if they have one, and if they do, stop doing them in the squat rack, if not, fuck off and stick to incline until they get one.

What is the most accurate TDEE calculator you’ve used? I’m getting anywhere from 2800 to 4000

what are your goals? assuming general bodybuilding then yeah that's reasonable.

use the calculation for sedentary lifestyle (probably your 2800) and gradually adjust as necessary

Don’t need them to get huge, I know that’ll never happen. Just want them to get a little thicker
Kek

So sedentary puts me around 2200. But I typically burn 700ish at work. So I figured I would start around 3200 and kind of take it from there. Seem reasonable?

What were your lift numbers after the first three months? I'm a little unsure about my stats and if I'm wasting my time or not

Do any of you do leg press with just one leg and then swap ? Pros / Cons of this ?
I feel bad hogging all the plates and then if I go and its super busy sometimes I'm waiting ages for enough plates to open up.

Is gyno surgery my only option? I can’t afford it with rent, bills and necessary dental work. I get roasted for it now when I take my shirt off. Shit sucks

2200 is pretty reasonable maintenance level for an adult male, so if you are really burning 700/day at work then yes that sounds fine. just make sure you aren't overestimating, 700/day is a lot, but doable if you are in construction or something similar.

people will put up completely different numbers based on weight/frame/background so it's kind of pointless to compare yourself. as long as your routine isn't full retard then you will do fine. also, 3 months is nothing in the long term. don't get fooled by the people who claim they made huge gains in some tiny amount of time, they are almost always lying to try and push a product.

pros: force yourself to use each leg independently, work on muscle imbalances
cons: you won't put up as much weight, so less challenge to your CNS

doesn't really look like gyno from that pic, just skinnyfat

ah, that pic looks worse, i see what you mean.

even if you can't afford the surgery you can still lose fat so it isn't so pronounced. also, gyno can come and go in young males so if you are still late teens or early twenties it can fade with time.

Why do you have a dead squirrel between your tits?

Need something to make me look more male

I’m 22. I’ve been hanging onto the hop it’ll fade since I was 16. People are so disgusted with it, it’s not fair I’ve been told my girls I’m a handsome looking guy but they don’t like tits

Please rate my meal bros. I was told 76g fat is good to have, usually I go no higher than 60g fat. I swim & lift 5 days out of the week if that helps. Anything I should change at all? Any advice is more than appreciated

>you have to sit to do them the way God intended
Lel

Why should you OHP sitting on a Smith Machine? I do OHP with barbells. Just lift them with a clean and go to town.

I learned to power clean just to do ohp wherever.

Fair enough. I really only use other numbers to establish some sort of standard for myself. Feels like I fuck around if I don't have another standard to live up to. I don't know.

Also, do any of you know where to get a one or two good pairs of shorts for the summer? I know this isn't necessarily Jow Forums related but /fa/ seems to be filled with thinspo fags and that won't help my case.

i think you replied to the wrong person

i like these uniqlo shorts a lot, size up though because they tend to run small

uniqlo.com/us/en/men-woven-easy-shorts-199834.html

At what bf do you really start to look lean in the face? I've been skinny my entire life until about a year ago where I hit a decent weight for my size but my face looks kinda bad since I'm like 20-22% bf

pls respond yeah i dun goof'd. classic feply rail

Will lifting with forearm lacerations cause any issues? I have some semi-deep cuts on my arm that I don't want to open up while lifting, but I also don't want to miss out on my gains if I don't have to.

How many protein bars do you eat a day?
How many is to many?

It depends on your fat distribution, but in my case its under 12%

("too many", obviously)

I don't need to, because I never said shit about doing them on a smith machine. The ohp rack has a barbell all the same, you're just sitting on a seat that has footrests with a back rest attached to a rack. Wish I could find a picture to post, but my gym, which is a shitty YMCA has one. It's basically pic related with a rack for a barbell attached behind it.

Attached: seat.jpg (814x905, 18K)

depends on the depth of the cuts and the stage of healing. i would avoid it until the cuts are well scabbed over and dry to the touch.

Anus started hurting after I biked one day, It's been three days and it still hurts. I've upped my fiber and water intake after I noticed the pain persisting. What is going on and what do.

Been doing this since November and I'm starting to stall on certain lifts. Usually after 3x5 i have to reduce weight on bench. I'm intermediate. Is it okay now to switch it to 3x5 for some compounds? That would be better to cram in my routine well within an hour instead of going 1:20min usually, read about SS V SC so not sure.

Attached: IMG_2151.jpg (907x1334, 200K)

>only started doing squats every A&B instead of just on A as i'm stalling on them.

Attached: IMG_2481.png (750x1334, 317K)

None. I only ever take protein bars / powder / etc when for some reason I missed my protein goals with normal food, which only really happens when I'm cutting.

I eat a 500-700 kcal defecit every day (while doing cardio/weights and eating a lot of protein). I feel like i get burned out and feel like I need more food after 4 or 5 days and end up binged a great deal because i feel like my body needs it. Am I missing something??

Is there such thing as eating too many vegetables?

What macros will ensure that I minimize muscle loss during my cut?

i believe getting a lot of protein is the most important macro for maintaining muscles during a cut. 1g/lb is what I have seen but i'm not an expert

If you're taking away those calories from your sedentary TDEE you fucked up, you need to include calories burned from cardio/lifting. There is a burning out point.

Ignore anything by Jason Blaha. Follow SS, SL, or GSLP.

If it's pain, you could just have bruised your ass or rubbed it enough on the bike to cause a rash/raspberry. If it's sore, that's totally normal for someone new to biking.

Try to eat as much real food as possible. Protein bars and powder is fine as a supplement, but it's just that: A supplement. It's supplementing other meals.

I don't really know what you want us to do. Individual meals are less important than the macros they represent. As long as you're getting your macros and calories in I don't see a problem.

if you try to hang yourself but fail

and you can do many pullups

couldnt you just pull up the rope and escape

to that extent, couldnt you just do pullups over and over till your neck snapped (theoretically, ignoring oxygen deprivation)

is everyone who suffocates in suicide a dyel or am i retarded

This might deserve its own thread or be covered in the sticky, idk.

tl;dr
>been losing weight 9 months from 100kg down to 79 or so
>clearly some muscle gain in there, not a lot
>saw lots of progress/noob gains in first 6 months
>stalling now
>doing 12x3 (or 4) program
>take short (30 sec) rests between sets
Am I stalling because I'm just not getting enough food due to deficit/cut, or will I still be able to make strength gains if I just up my weight, go to failure (or 12x3 if I can) and take longer rests?

Attached: manarrested.jpg (886x642, 133K)

>Is there such thing as eating too many vegetables?
Maybe, but the amount is probably ridiculous.
>What macros will ensure that I minimize muscle loss during my cut?
Gotta get that protein

In a normal execution your hands are tied behind your back.
Also you can try to neck yourself repeteadly but if you are repeating the movement it's more likely that you'll end with some sort of crippling spine damage than death.

All starting strength programs are 3x5 or 5x5 with high weights and 3-5 minutes rest between sets, because that rep range is optimal for gaining strength as fast as possible.

Yeah, guy at the gym who writes up my programs has me basically on a calorie burn and hypertrophy routine, which is good for what I really want and working very well toward that end, but at the same time it's kinda disheartening to have such low strength after such a long time. Guess I'll just stick with this until I'm leaned out and then start on a strength program once I don't have a fat gut anymore and can eat a surplus.

Is sparkling water just as healthy and good as regular water? Weaning myself off of diet sodas

I have a cold today. Can i still go to the gym and do my daily workout? Or could it harm me in amyway?

If it's just a runny nose, or cough, go ahead, but make sure to stay hydrated and warm.
If you feel very tired, light headed, sleepy, etc, skip.

Anyone got a good bodyweight routine they can share?

>will my bone structure change after puberty/maturity if I take drugs
Dunno mate, why don't you ask all the trannies who have offed themselves?

>Ignore anything by Jason Blaha. Follow SS, SL, or GSLP.

Which?

What's the basic info on Hamstring VS Quadricep development with Squats?

I heard one muscle develops more than the other leading to an imbalance?

Is this true? How can I test this?

clavicles and possibly ribcage, small bones arent that big of a deal desu

How much of having sunken cheeks/chiseled face is genetics (bone structure) and how much is low bodyfat?

Attached: gandy.jpg (736x736, 106K)

i was hit in the chest the other day and now my pec is kinda sore, but not weak, should i still bench with good intensity or should i wait for the pain to subside completely?

I'd say both but leaning more on genetics.

Is it harmful to basically "pre-eat" meals on one day's evening because I won't have time to prep and eat on the next one?

Why do people ever get their picture taken with Gandy? Do they never realize they end up mogging themself just by existing in his proximity? it's not even Gandy doing the mogging, people should know what theyre getting into by entering his realm of gravitation attraction shift.

when i flex my core, my abs are decently visible
when i try to inflate my core i can have a sizeable gut
is that common or do i just have a tiny frame?

Attached: 1510762719897.png (485x443, 25K)

How do i deal with wrist pain? This shit won't Go away no matter How much i rest.

you're skinnyfat or just fucking DYEL
abs should be visible un flexed
nattys dont necessarily (and rarely do) have "3 dimensional" abs, but that doesnt mean you cant have great abs

Right now with exams I barely get to do 2 days a week at the gym
I know this is alright to sustain
but the problem is the days are tuesday and thursday. How fucked am I? From thursday to tuesday I feel like I'm losing 1kg a week
Also, tips on sustaining gains through these periods?

Wjat are the macros ratio for a bulk?

will lifting help with the the loose skin I have from my fat days or will high intencity cardio suffice?

Does anyone have any tips that helped them with their diet?

can you be specific?

I went vegan. almost overnight really. I stopped overeating. I still get enough protein and only occasionally need to resort to using protein powder. I no longer overeat on meat and fatty foods and justify it with the "muh protein" excuse.

I also drink more water and eat a hell of a lot more vegetables. Eat a lot of salad with no dressing or oil. My favorite salad is just shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, green peas, tofu (yes), and some croutons.

I get most of my protein from beans and green peas and vegan milks like soy milk. There is actually less estrogenic activity from soy milk than regular cows milk.

>sloped forehead
>wanting to look like you're not even evolved

What should I do on my off days

I know this question is asked a lot, yet all answers are confusing or vague

My goals/priorities are strength and fitness, size is a close second

My functional goals are fighting/self defense

I'd like to do some cardio because I notice my endurance getting below what I can tolerate, but I don't know if that's just a waste of lifting recovery, and I also don't know if it would be better to lift in the morning, run later in the day and then have a full recovery day the day after, or do cardio on rest days.

I lift three times a week.

is your body weight stalling on a cut a normal thing? i autistically track my weight and calorie intake every day for the past year. i know my TDEE is 2500-2700 calories. physical activity level has not changed. i am getting 2000 calories a day on a cut but my weight is not going down for the past 1.5 weeks. i SHOULD be losing 1-1.5 pounds a week. what the fuck.

Been running lately with these shoes, noticing blisters in my arches when I do longer distance, 5-10k. I usually wear pretty thin and cheap socks, could it be them causing blistering/friction or is it just these shoes? Any way to reduce this without buying new shoes? Some kinda insole fix or anything.

Attached: tanjun-8-nike-black-white-original-imaex2xgjsnbpap3.jpg (704x417, 30K)

Probably the shoes, get some proper running shoes.

...

If vegetables are just for micronutrients and fiber why can't I just take multivitamins and eat oats instead of eating vegetables?

Yeah, fair. They're a pretty nice casual shoe so not a big deal. Any reccomendations for a fair priced good jogger? I've heard NB574s go alright.

Is canned tuna in sunflower oil bad?

have you tried turning your digestive track on and off again

How do you get jax mode?
I really just want to be fit and attractive looking to women without being a skelly. This seems kinda like a goal body because I have thin wrists as well, but he probably looks good because of his frame.
His “celebrity workout” thing says he did bulk body weight but that could just be made up bullshit

i'm a week away from cutting the fat off myself with a knife. it's really pissing me off.

I don't have access to the gym until next month. All I have is a treadmill and a pair of 45 lb weights. What is a good calisthenic routine to slowly build muscle and lose fat to bide the time?

What do I do if I don't have access to small enough plates to progress by 2.5 like in pic related?

Attached: E4BE712A-4282-4AE3-B17A-157B5983421B.png (547x465, 39K)

Buy them on Amazon for almost nothing and bring them with you

I do heavy bench press on Wednesday, then shoulder work for hypertrophy (seated db press, lateral raises) on Thursday and then chest work for hypertrophy (db chest press, db incline press, dips etc.) on Friday.

Am I doing okay or am I limiting my strength this way?

Only because of the mercury. If you are worried about the mercury canned wild caught salmon is better. It just takes more preparation to remove the skin and bones. Eating the skin and bones is good for you but it's an acquired taste.

Can I do cardio with stronglifts? either after or on rest days? Like 10 min hiit on the erg? not jogging on the treadmill for like an hour.

Attached: 1523122280437.jpg (600x600, 57K)

I'm trying to gain weight/muscle. Beside my 3 meals a day, would eating white rice and beans as snacks be a good idea? Need a easy and simple to make snack.

Yes.look up wolfs law

Is there any downside to hovering around 10-14%bf instead of like 17-21%?
Basically, is a year-round 6-pack worth it or will it kill my gains?

So hear me out, been watching My Hero Academia and I'm really inspire by Deku, because like him I started out very weak and below average compared to my peers.
I have zero commitments until next August, as I'm done with most of my work for college and waiting until marching band camp to start now.
But my god, man, HOW do I train for the amount of time this kid does? I want to spend 8-10 hours a day just training, but my body can't handle it. Except, I know it can!! That's the power of our will!
So, does anyone have any tips for doing excessive training? I don't care if I overwork myself, that's how I know I'm improving!

Outside of anime people can't, and dont need to train for 8 hours you retard

One of my best friends does Iron Man tournaments, and he does upwards of 8 hours cardio every day. That's just running and biking.

In real life what counts the most for muscle gain are shorter, more intense sessions and a CONSISTENT routine.

Training more than 2 hours probably means you're not actually training, and if you are, it will be very ineffective.

But I can't stress enough that consistency of diet and regime is the most important and difficult part.

Attached: images (10).jpg (512x288, 38K)

Breddy sure the biggest thing you have to worry about is a lack of energy and decreased training effectiveness.

10 min hiit should help gains.

HIIT sprints at your local soccer field.

Make sure you warm up properly

Just rest you mongoloid

Your gym sessions will be more effective if you rest properly on your off days. If you want to acheive more Jow Forumsness then work that into your routine as a working day.

Fix your form. The weight should sit on the bottom of your palm, not the top.

Also buy wrist wraps.

>abs should be visible un flexed

DELETE THIS

Attached: 1523415714879.jpg (472x472, 12K)

Abs should always be visible. Else you are fat or have jewish genetics.
