>fell for the don't go to university meme
>stuck making near minimum wage forever
Fell for the don't go to university meme
you're supposed to do trade school you dumb shit
You could just go to university now
The don't go to college meme usually involves getting into some sort of trade instead, not continuing to work at Mcfucks
>that 24 year old freshman in your college classes
Trade your organs for cash
You could have been a carpenter, an electrician, or even a fucking plumber. Just admit you wasted your time.
Hey, it me.
>not taking advantage of being older and getting some prime young college poon
>especially college freshman
never gonna make it
just go you fucking idiot, get some 18 year old pussy to.
Has nothing to do with fitness, saged
>Decide not to go to university
>Don't enroll in trade school or get certifications to replace uni
>Be surprised when you end up being a wageslave
>Make a thread on Jow Forums letting everyone know what a fucking retard you are
Nice
Imagine being so insecure you settle for a minimum wage job for the rest of your Life
You could study for the CCNA and MCSA and be making 90k as a sysadmin in as little as 6 months if you were motivated.
Instead you spend your days on a Vietnamese birdwatching forum.
After years of working in a factory I decided to go to college age 22. Not too late mate
>tfw went into the Trades when i was 21
Making 30/hour and averaging 85k/year.
Feels good.
Only downside is i beat the shit out of my body.
I've been thinking of going this route. What's the sysadmin job environment like, you enjoying it?
Just assuming you are one since you recommended it.
>fell for the go to uni meme
>studied physics for 4 years
>had to redo a year
>finished it and I have a shitton of debt
>haven't even found a job
>physics
>not engineering
that was your mistake you mongoloid
>went to uni
>did physics
>specialised in an emerging field
>became incredibly skilled in a niche but very desired imaging modality
>get paid to travel the world and design bespoke equipment
just don't be a brainlet
what emerging field
>didn't go to university
>fell for the responsibility meme
>read shit like Ayn Rand, watch Jordan Peterson videos
>this is surprisingly motivating
>decide to work part time and try to start my own business
>now running a small firearms trading business, looking into getting manufacturing
>decided to save money and cut expenses, now I can sell one or two guns a month and still have my bills covered
>still working part time for extra cash and dope ass insurance
>plenty of time to fully immerse myself in /fitlit/
>life is better than it has literally ever been
>have friends who went to uni, get constantly bashed over the head with cultural marxist propaganda
>keep changing majors, some drop out, all of them tens of thousands of dollars in debt
>several have minimum wage jobs and children with women they met in college and later turned out to be crazy
>only one of my friends makes more money than me, and he has a GED
College is a meme. If you have an internet connection and make enough money to buy some books every now and again, there's almost nothing you can't learn to do.
>lobbies government
>*kills your business*
Do you think it's a coincidence that he looks like the colossal faggot he's proven himself to be?
>he didnt pull some zany business idea out of his ass and fabricate an entire life story behind it to get others to buy into it then flip it for millions
fuck man, i'm 29 years old and facing the same situation
29 years old, how the fuck do you think i feel?
this
that's what people don't tell you about doing a trade job, beats up your body, nagging injuries for the rest of your life
Its not too bad after a few years if youre a quick learner and have common sense.
Ive made foreman position and dont have to deal with as much physical work, just lay out my crew and deal with the office people.
If i keep this up ill retire by the time im 47, and by then who knows what ill want to branch out to.
does it become more interesting once you actually have a job doing it? just got done writing a 2 page report on NAT for the cisco class I'm in, shit's dry as fuck
>27 year old freshman
Oh no
Also the nagging injuries part, heres my list:
>left should aches sometimes
>left knee is kinda jacked (skateboarding accident)
>right ankle is jacked
>wrists are jacked
>no grip strength sometimes
>jacked up disc in back (happened outside if work)
But yeah get into a foremans position and keep learning.
>Fell for the University meme
>In Greece
Now I work as a delivery bellow minimum wage FML
>oh no I'll be the same age as most of the exmilitary students
What a terrible fate, to be sure
ok so you moved up the pyramid and don't do heavy labor anymore
people at the bottom are the grunts, the cannon fodder, the meat in the meat grinder. if you don't move up the pyramid or get out, your body and health pays the price like this guy that sucks, man, you have my sympathies, i wouldn't wish it on anyone
>In Greece
well there's your problem
>mfw math phd student
>mfw 300k starting salary
>tfw 27 finishing second semester of nursing school
>tfw some in my cohort are ten years younger than me
>tfw some in my cohort are over ten years older than me
>most of the shitters already washed out, genuinely like everyone who's left
>tfw pretty much guaranteed that more of us will inevitably wash out
Feels okay. Accelerated private school beats fucking community college despite the price. So much less bullshit and stupid people.
Im the same guy, those are all my posts.
And heres the deal: if youre smart and can keep learning, and have common sense and some balls, you can become a foreman after a few years.
If youre a total pushover, an idiot, or cant speak english well, then have fun doing grunt work until you retire.
Im personally aiming to become a Superintendant or a Project Manager so i may have to go back to school at the same time that im working.
Im 28 and all the guys under my direct control are all in their late 30s to mid 40s.
>announced sage
enjoy your vacation faggot
>that 30 year old guy working construction
>tfw too much of a pussy to even tell my parents I want to do community college.
Why can't I just tell them and then do it. It's so frustrating. I feel like I make constant excuses and here I am, 2 years after I decided I wanted to, still working the same shit cleaning job and spending most of my day on my computer shitposting.
Why don't you just do it? What are your parents going to do? Ground you?
>parents would rather you work for minimum wage than go to college
nani? also community college is superior, you learn the same things for 90% cheaper, why would you go into debt for general ed lmao
shitposting on Jow Forums
Does anyone on Jow Forums have a job that’s actually cool and fun? Seems like it’s always just engineering and computer nerd shit.
>introverted people who spend most of their day on a computer gravitate toward computer related jobs
woah there einstein. even the pseudo-chads that post occasionally are just reformed nerds who lookmaxed to make themselves presentable.
It's the most irrational fear I have. I can't explain why, I don't even understand why.
The worst they would do is not help pay, which I don't care about, I have money saved. My mom is the same way, we both have no backbone. And my dad is pretty chill to be honest, so it's all really paradoxical and pathetic.
maybe you fear failing so you won't commit
I've thought of this, at work I've fucked up so many times I always have these intrusive thoughts of "if I can't even clean a toilet how can I do anything".
>community college
>pay
just apply for FAFSA and a bog waiver and make up your income and say you're renting a room, don't mention from your parents. they give you like 1-2 grand a semester and waive the prices of your books.
I'm 25 and just starting with fourth semester engineering.
Everyone tells me that it's completely fine to be a little older.
But it still fuels my depression that I've wasted away so many years of my life.
On the other hand being stuck in a garbage job for the next 45 earth-around-the-suns would be shit load worse.
delete
that sounds illegal
Don't think of it as wasted years, you just took a different path than everyone else.
My mothers friend was working a minimum wage job at the age of 38 and decided to go to college (UK) with 16 year olds, then went to university to do a foundation year, then did her undergrad, and has just finished her masters. She has a job lined up 40k starting salary job lined up now to start in a couple weeks. Worth it in my opinion
Bro I'm 30 and finishing up undergrad, it's not bad at all. I get hot on a ton because older + lift + actually have some money. I'm also a veteran so there's that. I can't wait for grad school desu
>that 30 year old guy who hits on girls just out of high school
Construction usually pays twice minimum wage
>that 20 year old who is jealous of 30 year olds
Smart people realize the value of taking care of themselves
Try becoming a manager, and use the funds to pay for school.
>went to university
>now making it in venture capital
YMMV
>tfw trying to become a owg coach
Construction doesn’t make $20 an hour entry level gramps
What does that even mean?
my cousin was 19 working with his dad and making $40 an hour
>he had to waste all his hard earned bucks on school shit kek
Lol same as you but already got a bachelor's.
And I felt shitty for not currently working on my master's
how much debt
>always just engineering and computer nerd shit.
All those people doing "nerd shit" are smart enough to realize that they have to take care of themselves
You can have a cool job and still make good money though. No one on this board ever has an interesting engineering job like designing roller coasters or working for Disney Imagineering.
I don't hit in them at all. I have a gf of five years, and I'm not a degenerate. I'd be lying if I don't leave the campus gym without a boner though.
Just go to community college. FAFSA will pay for most of it even if your parents make a lot of money.
>tfw first year in college at 32 years old
I'm so happy I'm not doing landscaping anymore
Double this.
My dad has a lot of friends who did blue collar stuff for the adult life’s. Their bodies are essentially nuked despite having not bad money.
For example, his best friend
>arthritis out the ass
>tore both ac joints in his shoulders twice in all the places. Can’t lift his arms over his head basically
>tore both biceps
>fucked back.
It wears on you so be prepared to sacrifice your body for money is all.
Your only option is to do some certificate at a community college.
