Is Conan Doyle considered classic? Really love reading Sherlock

Fuck off thot I only read manga with the purest Waifus and not you 3DPD.

Right now mans search for meaning then onto stoner and the road. I trying to get all the /lit/memes out of the way before I really delve in

He everyone, annonettes a nerd! Get a load of the nerd!

Fbpb

in real life theyll ask you if you saw kim kardashians instagram story

mei-mein kampf

>love reading
>can never relate to anyone about this

>Oh hi! Yes I do read, I'm reading . What about you?

It ain't hard, faggots.

Of course, reading Starting Strength right now.

girls don't actually talk like that. She would be way too insecure to ask you that question because it makes her look like a fuckin' nerd. Girls are way more insecure than guys and would NEVER try a risky ass move like that with a person they want to attract, females are not risk takers. Just goes to show how out of touch with the opposite sex yall are

I'm convinced the people who make these threads have never interacted with women.

>Fbpb

:DDDD

Only right answer
>HIP DRAHVE

Homer & you are a fucking idiot if you think girls are turned off by reading or nerds. Girls aren't turned off by reading, girls are turned off by you being too insecure to admit you like reading, or too patronizing to think she might too

I got some old wilds, some Poe, Lovecraft and classics like Dracula Frankenstein ECT. Actually was talking with a girl at work today about books, she was asking if I had any fantasy books I told her what I have and offered to loan her some when she's done with her current book, and I just finished Steven Kings the long walk

Victor frankle or something right? That book was highly recommend when I was in basic

Honest to god I only read Jow Forums and reddit.

What is the point of reading classic literature? If you're going to read, read some informative nonfiction that might actually be useful to your life. If you're just gonna read for fun you might as well watch TV or play vidya instead

>muh catcher in the rye

fuck off you thot, i read visual novels

Underated post

Reading enemy at the gates right now
Would any of you have the balls to fight in a real battle?
Everybody getting blown up and starving death around you while you still have to walk a hundred miles toward the enemy?
I think I'd call in sick

As if I would talk to this chestlet.

>Stop having fun please

If you consider Crowley classic literature then yes, and I’ve got a passage that I think you’d enjoy. It’s a duet and unfortunately it’s at my house, would you like to join me?
>proceed to have depraved, tantric ritual sex and summon a demon or something

yes by viktor frankl, its a book about the holocaust but not entirely and does a philosophical take on it from the perspective as a person inside auschwitz, its pretty good and 200 pages

No. All the books I read are highly technical or help refine actually useful skills.

Don't ignore my digits

I've started reading Seneca's Letters from a Stoic. Marcus aurelius' meditations got me interested in stoicism, and I'm finding that I should read some of the Greeks. I know you're supposed to start with the Greeks, I just find Plato's republic to be a bit dense.

im read meditations right now, its amazing. gives me a sound mind and peace. also it pro virtue. I have looked briefly at Nietzsche and how he mocks stoicism, and that it is avoiding human nature and self interest. I am currently reconciling between the two.

This is how to get a big tiddie goth gf

A lot of the observations in meditations and letters are observations I've made. I have Thus Spake Zarathustra on my bookshelf, haven't opened it yet

This

Meh, I read The Republic earlier this month but it was pretty dull. I get it's necessary for Western philosophy, but damn, it was boring as fuck

that's most philosophy books desu
it's actually better in most instances to read essays about those books than the books themselves. the authors don't have the best writing and they tend to either over-complicate what they're saying or use a paragraph to say something that can be said in a single sentence.

>Read on your off days
what stops you from reading every day lmao
