I drink full sugar cans of Soda now.
I’ve done IIFYM for years now and got shredded multiple times eating crap to hit my carb/fat goals after securing my protein intake for the day. But for some reason I still avoided normal Soda out of habit and stuck to drinking diet Soda like normal.
Then I realised, I am literally sometimes eating chocolate/ice cream or even pure sugar sweets, why the fuck couldn’t I just have a normal can of Soda at a meal in place of some shitty sugar snakes I would eat later as a snack. So I began consuming normal Soda and stopped buying diet Soda.
One thing I noticed is that I actually feel more satisfied with the food I eat since removing the diet Soda entirely out of my diet. Bodyfat is still maintainable and manipulated easily as I account for a Soda into my macros.
If you can spare an extra 40g carbs for a can of Soda, there’s no reason why you cant, so long as the rest of your macros are hit and you’re ensuring optimal intake of micros aswell.
