I would imagine it's some kind of stout, as it tends to be a high ABV if you're getting a good stout, and fairly heavy, so it's a bit more filling than lighter beer.
So you can drink less while getting a better drunk going on, although being a heavier beer it tends to also have more calories than other styles.

Vodka

I only drink tequila

Guinness
Good for bulking
They used to give it to pregnant women for iron

beers are the worst type of alcohol when it comes to being calorie-conscious. Stouts are also some of the most calories dense. I think the best are probably generic light beers.

The right choice is to work your ass off during the week so you can enjoy some good beer on the weekend, guilt-free.

We drink spirits straight out of the bottle, user.

Based

The funny thing about it, if you drink a lot or used to be an alcoholic, is that when you start drinking, your body goes like "ahhhh...!! Finally a beer!", but then it gets confused as there is no alcohol.
This might be placebo but drinking 0% will put you in a slightly different state of mind than if you'd be drinking water

WE ALCOHOLISM NOW, user.

Fair enough.

I've been known to do that too, but I also enjoy a nice beer.

I had no idea about this, good to know.

I've begun to realize this myself. And since I like beer, I tend to try and keep a decent deficit for my week and eat less that specific day I'm going to indulge to try and fit some in.

And in a perfect world, with actual willpower, I'd be able to keep at that. Sadly, I do lapse into occasional alcohol consumption.

It was some anons sandwich he posted here a while ago and I thought it looked thicc

Beware m8 when I say it's good for bulking I mean it will make you fat

Or use the guilt to get you doing some early morning cardio

Yeah, I was figuring that would be the case. I usually just do a lowered calorie consumption the next day.

Also a pretty good plan. Perhaps I should look in to doing both.

Alcohol and Jow Forums basically don't mix. Water is the drink of choice...

...or vodka, if you have to drink.

Just try to find one without hops.

Stay away from IPAs and other hoppy beers, if you see "dry hopped" don't do it.
Hops are mad sources of plant estrogens and also have sedative effects.
Stick to American macro lights, or if a euro thinner German lagers.

fucking kek

That sounds about right. I do try and keep it to a minimum. It's usually the big part of my cheat day. Drinking on the porch with my father, and all that.

>Good for bulking
>Extremely low calorie beer

I hadn't considered that. Mostly I try to make the most by considering ABV compared to the size of the beer. A couple 10% can have a good start for an evening. Or finish it if done right. Usually with maybe a couple shots of some clear liquor.

210 calories in a pint according to Google

....If you're aiming for BLOATMAXX, sure.

hops are famously estrogen-y so IPAs are out. And big imperial stouts and barleywines often have IPA-levels of hops too, they're just balanced out by even denser grain bills.

I'd go with a saison or a Belgian trappist beer, because
>low in hops
>really good and complex
>muh history (brewed historically for and by farmers and monks respectively, good hardworking people who knew what they were doing not coastal, handlebar-moustached hophead hipster soyboys)
>are often unfiltered or bottle-conditioned meaning they still contain the yeast they were brewed with. which I'm guessing is extra-nutritious?

t. work in a brewery

Any and all beer is bad for fitness. You won't escape it. There's no cheating the system. Drink straight vodka or something. 70 calories a shot.

If I have to go and drink socially it is vodka, soda water and a lemon/lime

Guiness or something similar in style.

Don't eat anything for a few hours and then make very strong green tea. It'll accomplish the same thing pretty much.

This. Just work hard and enjoy a fucking beer afterward; nothing better.

I do like the Saison and Trappist type stuff. There's another style I'm thinking of, but the name escapes me that tends to be a good dessert beer. Very sweet, usually one of the kinds that comes corked like a wine...

Wait, really? I'll have to actually try that, I suppose.

Your stomach will feel upset for a few minutes at first, but that passes pretty quick. I figured this out on accident last fall because I used to bring green tea to my morning classes and wouldn't eat breakfast before going most days.

I'd get a literal body high in the mornings if I had green tea with a bowl of oatmeal/banana.

i like miller lite

>beer that can literally be aged like wine
this is good, monica

Guinness probably. Low in calories and you don't look like a faggit
