This is true, iv been doing productivity shit for years. Most intense was when I created an app that pushes to a spreadsheet where I planned each hour in the day and having auto generated graphs for every activity in my day down to the minute. Worked great when i lived alone and didn't talk to anyone. Once you start making social gains you realize sometimes you just need to go with the flow.

Iv worked on refining my current program for over a year now, in essence, make 3 high level goals for the day and finish them. Results in easy consistent progress as long as you've developed the skill of creating good goals.

Lmao this is like a cartoonish version of me. I've tried having things completely regimented to the point where I had a scheduled 20 minutes of relaxation time a day (I was working 2 jobs I didn't like, studying, seeing a new girl, working out etc.). Something around 5 is always ideal for recovery but sure, you can go lower. The point is using REM cycles no matter what because you can wake up on the "light sleep "phase, which means you wake up easier, with more energy, and you don't interrupt any important biological process that aids recovery and hormonal production, etc. Even if you have no time to sleep at all, sleep one full cycle, 1.5 hour, instead of 2 hours for example.
