Extensor training.
Who has used these? Do they work?
>not asking if I should train extensors, I already know I should

what functional purpose does that serve besides opening bags of chips and stretching out anuses?
So that is not enough for you?
important for hand health if yoo do a lot of grip work.
probably pointless for strength or hypertrophy but a good p/rehab tool, healed my forearm splints with these
bucket of sand
you guys are fucking retarded. my mind gets blown away by the sickening amount of retardism i see here everyday. yes, "retardism" is a word which i just came up with because no other word in the english dictionary could explain the amount of brain cells that leave your supposed brain every second.
try "retardation"
it's like raaaaaiiiinnnn

That's fucking awesome. I've been using a bucket of sand and gravel to train after a hand injury. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
>stretching out anuses
That's what a tongue and nose are for, dumbass.
These are dangerous for fingers
t. pianist
Supposed to help with tendonitis. I tried with rubber bands, but it never seemed to help me
>stretching out anuses?
I don't know fag,lets ask your boyfriend.
I used ripper bands regularly for a few months and got up to a decent strength. My forearms look ripped as fuck, you will start seeing muscles in your forearms you didnt know you had, all the way down to your wrist.
this or rice
same, bands didnt do it for me. have you heard about these rubbery tubes that you can twist in either along their long axis. I've heard they are top tier, imitating wrist rollers.
Elaborate

Overexercising your fingers can cause yoir hands to get permenantly fucked up. There are stories of pianists strengthen their fingers like this only to fuck themselves up so badly they can't play piano ever afterwards. Not worth it for the miniscule gains you can get on your fingers
kek
Link to one of those stories?
These people aren't trying to play fast runs on a piano, they're trying to lift weights. Big finger muscles may be bad for fast delicate keyboard music, but not for strength training.

Like when you're wringing out a towel? I've seen people use these for golfers elbow
Compartment Syndrome in your hand.
Developing the muscles in your hand beyond a certain point will exceed to capacity of the 'compartment' that muscle rests in.
They do not have room to develop beyond this space unlike other muscle groups.
The end result is that the muscles start to constrict upon nerves and blood vessels, causing debiliating pain amongst other things.
If you want stronger hands strengthen your forearms
>minuscule gains
speak for yourself faggot
I used the bands from ironmind, went from lowest resistance to hardest, soon to be finished with that so bought outer limit loops, haven't tried them yet
not that fag, but I was curious so I used fucking google

>The conventional story is that Schumann, either impatient with his progress or just that committed to being the absolute best, devised a finger strengthening mechanism out of a cigar box. The machine would bend back one finger and keep it in place, while allowing the user to exercise the other digits.
Thanks
I use these extensor bands almost daily but I'll reduce my usage a bit now
only use them after you work your flexors, user
I will, thanks
most repetitive actions that we all do involve flexor but not extensor. ex gripping the steering wheel, typing with a keyboard/using a mouse, grabbing the bar when lifting. Having a flexor/extensor balance issue can lead to problems like spasms, poor range of motion, carpel tunnel. You use them for balance issues, not strength building.
Some Dr Strange level shit
This may be a dumb question - but would these help if I experience cramps in my fretting hand after playing a lot of guitar?
yes it would, do them after you play
So should I be using these during my breaks at work? I sit in front of a computer 8-10 hours a day, and I'm constantly typing non-stop.
no, when typing you move fingers both up and down
I just got some ironmind bands and do they actually make you stronger in your lifts?
