Home gym use... 200 lbs max. I've seen these stands all the time in old pictures... horror stories pls.
How likely is this rack to kill me?

I got the exact same one and Im still alive
wtf are you lifting where you would max out on 200 lbs? Curls? That shit will do fookin nuttin
>550lbs max
DYEL?
Any issues walking out the barbell for squats? Worried I'll trip on the little feet.
Like this setup though bc I could use it with a flat b3nch for bench press
I'm just weak.
There is no way I'd trust a bolted together rack with 550.
you're not weak youre just a bimbo.
from personal experience i can testify those things buckle under 200kg
but then again, if you bought THOSE instead of a power/half rack, you are probably DYEL
Power rack won't fit in the space. Half rack might, but would be harder to move.
but you dont need to move a half rack?
also, if you have enough money, you can get a foldable rack
forcefitnessequipment.com
i mean, costs a shitton, but can be folded in, and even bolted to the floor, should you want that extra stability
but yeah, expensive
>implying a power rack isn't just bolted together but with bigger bolts
I bought a half rack second hand for 100 bucks
You can also use it for bench and ohp
And it has safties too
I’m not sure if those are the exact same stands that I have, but they look exactly like the same stands that I have. I regularly squat 315 lbs on them and I’ve never had a problem.
Buy them or stay smalled.
I should really check the used route... seeing some half racks on local CL.
buy a higher load one
You'll also need to buy a plate attachment and put some weight on it low enough to secure it to the ground
If you do that you'll be fine unless you squat 500lbs
Get a cage, it's more versatile.
No problems if you got a normal barbell and not that short shit that i currently have
>barbelllet
>poor
>DYEL
>has no space
>still wants to make a home gym
seriously, just go to a regular gym
I have this fucking rack. It's a bit wobbly.
Good thing I can only squat 80kg so I have no chance of killing myself with it.
>poor
>DYEL
>has no space
>still wants to make a home gym
this is literally me
The closest gym (which isn't close at all) is some gay all in one fitness center place so the prices are extortionate
It's gonna be shit for benching because the "hooks" are too tall and you will lose tightness pushing the bar out unless you have someone helping you lift off, but since you're doing a 200lbs max you can fuck up everything and still be fine.
You can also buy/make sawhorses later to act as safeties instead of the (I presume) shitty ones the stand has.
If the ledge to unrack is too high... You lower the pin
I use those exact stands and have put 350 on it. I don't trust the safeties. You just have to not be an idiot and throw the weight back on.
