>Most kids will say, “I’m eating about 2500 calories, taking a really jacked supp that has a lot of protein! Cause I’ve heard you can’t gain more than 3 pounds a month or it’s fat. Got to keep my razorabzz.”
>The bigger you already are, the more food you need. A guy who is 62 and skinny at 180 needs more calories and protein than a guy who is 58 and skinny at 155. Guys like this may well need 6000 calories a day.
>But nobody – and I mean no-body – can get big and strong on 2500 calories a day. This is a ridiculous piece of government-inspired bullshit, and has interfered with the progress of most people who try to get big and strong. And if you’re not willing to eat more than you want to, you won’t get big and strong.
He's neither big or strong and never has been so I wouldn't take his advice
Henry Ortiz
can he even 1/2/3/4? could he ever? i wouldn't listen to plebs
Anthony Brown
probably true for most men, seeing as you should be lifting enough to burn at least ~300-500 calories depending on your size. I think if you're totally sedentary otherwise though you would be just fine bulking on 2500 calories
Mason Wilson
I'm 145 and eating 2870 per day. I'm not increasing every workout, could that be the reason? I'd rather just go a little slower and not turn into Zack or whatever.
Is it ok as long as my weight is going up (0.5lb/week)?
Eli Richardson
Mark, i dont think you should be advocating for people in the 58-62yo range to take up powerlifting
Carson Perez
Where did he say this? I wanna listen to the full thing
Samuel Harris
>Increasing in weight while not increasing in strength user, I...
Cooper Thomas
He's right that people that aren't seeing progress should eat more but his actual estimates for how many calories they need is completely absurd.
Xavier Perry
I think the accepted number is 10-20% surplus, anything over that will be a ticket to fat town. I eat in the 2500-3000 range and still make gains but I'm also still a noob who hasn't reached 1/2/3/4 so maybe I'll have to eat more as I start approaching that. 6000 sounds completely excessive though.
Liam Carter
It all makes sense until he recommends 6000 calories a day. That's just indulgent.
Ayden Flores
how the fuck do you even eat 6k cals a day
Cameron Ortiz
Rip over states calorie intake and Jow Forums understates calorie intake
Most people here are skellys and skinnyfats who are scared to eat more than 2-2.5k cals and always look like shit.
The reality is you need around 3000-4000 calories per day as a lifted. Manlets closer to 3000, Lanklets closer to 4000.
That’s the only way to actually get muscular and lean the same time. You’ll never be lean and muscular eating
Caleb Bell
What about women who lift
Brody Ramirez
Wasn't this the video about getting stuck? IIRC he talked about not eating enough, not taking long enough rests between sets and not sticking to the program.
Isn't it a bit morally wrong to eat 6k cals a day while many people have trouble getting one meal a day?
Brandon Sanders
why? food isn't a limited resource, just not easily distributed
Xavier Gray
just don't waste shit
Nathan Jenkins
If you have that belief, why don't you send me some of your earnings for this last month?
I'm on autismbux in Australia and live off $22,000/year. The median full-time income is $78,000/year. How much do you earn? I think you should send some over to my way. Fairs fair?
William Ortiz
>Isn't it a bit morally wrong to eat 6k cals a day while many people have trouble getting one meal a day? Why? What do you owe these people? why is it wrong for you to be successful when other people are not?
Michael Carter
>but I'm also still a noob who hasn't reached 1/2/3/4 then stop giving advice
Michael Watson
Hahaha get out of here
Dominic Hughes
Isn't it a bit morally wrong to lift 4plaets while many people have trouble lifting lmao1plaet?
David Lopez
Isn't it morally wrong to use the internet to shitpost and make memes while many people have trouble getting one computer to go online and learn everything they want?
James Lopez
yeah lol 6000 calories? if that were true it would be accepted some guys can't possibly get a good size
Easton Stewart
Gets 22k for doing nothing. Gets free healthcare. Actually can live in not absolute poverty provided by people like myself. Still complains. Only in Australia.
