It had it's moments....those moments were few though.
Like...the spider forest thing. That was good.
And uh...the scene with Gollum in the cave and...
Whelp.
That's about it.

I really liked the first one.
The second one was worth a watch because of Smaug alone, even if they turned him into a wyvern.
The last one has no redeeming points.
I didn't like the forced love between the elf thot and the dwarf.
The fight with Smaug in the mines was poor. And the one over the town was even worse.

My biggest issue with them is that the obvious passion and heart that went into LotR was almost completely absent from The Hobbit trilogy. Peter Jackson’s heart clearly wasn’t in it and the cast wasn’t nearly as close knit.

I didn't watch any videos or read about it because I'd rather not know too much.

Probably never. Honestly the elvish lore just isn’t as interesting. Tolkien centered his main stores on hobbits because it kept them grounded.

Well, Peter Jackson basically promised the sun and moon to everyone and pushed the completely defunct HIGH DEF CAMERAS or whatever fucking nonsense his people were shilling to get Guillermo del Toro ousted and him to direct it.

It's absolute mediocrity at absolute best and poor taste it leaves in the mouth of everyone who witnesses it should tell you everything you need to know.
The only decent cast in the entire damned thing is the guy who played Bilbo.
