I have started getting into strength training. So far I can manage a 60kg OHP.
What is a good OHP 1 rep max for a beginner?

1 plate, or 135 lbs or about 60kg like you're doing. Good work.
Your bodyweight
most people can lift their own bodyweight above their head without extensive training
Learning to use your muscles that exist is what is commonly called ''beginner gains''
The process is just like warming up, you suffuse previously unused parts of your muscles with blood, essentially turning them on, and then after that point you start to gain muscle or burn excess calories away depending on your food intake.
what if that's not good enough? are you going to give up? what if it is good enough? are you going to brag?
1 plate 1RM is literally nothing
Can ohp fuck up your lower back? I get a pain in my back sometimes when I'm doing it. I do brace my core and squeeze my glutes but it still happens.
op weighs 400lbs
1plate is early intermediate if actually strict
to answer OP's question, 1plate is a good OHP 1RM for a trainee that has lifted 6-12 months
most people who claim 1pl8 state their push press, which is 20% more than strict
are you trolling? I plate is ridiculous low
unless a woman or complete noodle arm.
If you are a western male you should be doing 185 after a year of training.
But if you played high school sports or are actually naturally strong, 2 plate after a YEAR of training for it
just fucking google ohp strength standards, it depends on your kilograms you fucking idiot.
yes
just stop posting, unlike you I've actually been to a gym.
here's some accurate comparison charts for the OP:

also post body I wanna laugh
Oh derp, sorry, I didn't see the 1RM part. I was assuming reps like 3x5. Pardon me.

How fat are you?
>Your bodyweight

why is this board so full of shit
No, a 170-200lb overhead press is not fucking easy.
getting 1 plate for reps takes over a year to get to 1234
is anyone here not on roids?
>but my hs athletes benching 225!
yeah i was in highschool weightlifting in south carolina, seniors in football roided and the coaches knew. What kind of braindead moron thinks a natty 17 year old that bulks with mcdonalds and sonic and bullshits around like an average highschooler is going to become built like a truck and bench 225 for reps
But user, you are on Jow Forums Jow Forums. Bragging about how easy it is to lift certain weight is just the local version of '8 inch dick is average and I'm 10' from the rest of the internet.
lol wtf, fatty
>Good
>For a beginner
These two qualifiers are not compatible. You can be good, or you can be a beginner, but you can't be both.
if you start off lifting a quarter bodyweight first session you might get some decent weight eventually
>t. fat midget
