How far have you run this week?
What are you working on?
How was your last run?
Any new gear that you've been enjoying?

Why run when you can hit the heavy bag?

ive taken the last few days off, but last week i ran 25 miles.
planning on a few long runs this week, hoping for 35 miles

last run was great, nice easy 8 mile run through trails

How far have you run this week?
5-6 miles a week if i'm doing well.
What are you working on?
Endurance. Did sprints today and I think i'm going to do some interval work instead of steady state.
How was your last run?
First time doing max effort sprints in a long time. Felt good. Felt like a little bitch. Felt good to feel like a little bitch.
Any new gear that you've been enjoying?
No. I would like a fitness watch just to track my run and all that. I know the HR reader is bunk. Would like to truly know how far I run...

>How far have you run this week?
2.5mi so far, today's my first run of the week.

>What are you working on?
Upping my cadence and fixing my form. Was getting some rough shin splints that was affecting my ability to do more than 9mi/wk. Was previously running around 145-155bpm. Tried a steady 174bpm playlist I had then some 180bpm later in the run.

>How was your last run?
Brutal but in a good way. Legs aren't nearly hurting like they normally would. Instead it activated muh quads, muh glutes, and muh feet way more than normal. Sounds like my form was seriously neglecting those muscles.

>Any new gear that you've been enjoying?
Thinking about getting some vibram five fingers. I know they're a meme but I'm running in some 10year old pumas (don't know what they are but they're pretty beat up) and I need to get something new. Want something minimal if possible.

Just ran innaswamp today with a hound chasing fox
Does the swamp and low thorns help?

This is my second week of running. I am trying to build up to running 30 minutes by doing walk/run intervals. I did a walk/run interval of 11min/4min x2 today. I had a great workout, and it's the first one where I haven't felt any pain in my legs.

For anyone who doesn't know where to start try pic related. I couldn't lightly jog for 5 minutes last winter now I do 10k uphill easily.
Either pick going for a run or going to the gym for the first few weeks though or you'll fucking die.

Biked 30 miles today
Going to run 7-9 miles tomorrow.
Feels good man

How can I improve my 1.5 mile time?
Plateauing at 9:20

Build your cardio by running longer distances.

Just want to comment on the last link. Pain is pain. You push through discomfort or loss of will. Pushing through pain is fucking stupid unless you are literally fighting for your life or trying to save a family member or friend. Certainly isn't gonna help your training to push through an injury and make it worse or permanent.

This is my second week of “running.” Last week started with walking. Sunday ran 1 minute bits during my walk. I have a long way to go, but I couldn’t believe I actually ran yesterday.

Keep it up. You'll be surprised how fast progress comes. It surprised the hell out of me, and I spent my whole life avoiding cardio of all kinds.

post stats

How do you not find running boring? I am going to run again but it could feel better

No treadmill/elliptical
Lose weight if you're fat
If those don't apply to you then do distance days and sprints days. You need to build up your endurance primarily though if you're only running 1.5 miles

Just find new routes etc, discover.

settle down fatty

If you think 237 at 5'8" is fat, then youre a woman

Going to run a 10k race this morning, quite a hilly road.
Haven't done any speed work in a while so it will be interesting. Probably jsut for fun and see if I see a big decrease in my time compared to september.
Wish me luck

Where are you sprinting towards? The Manlet Pit?

Thanks for encouragement

I think I'll just download that app for runners that simulates being chased by zombies

I did 43:00
I could blame the hills but mostly I haven't done any speedwork in a while.
So not great but not depressing

How do people run anything over 10 miles.
I really want to get into running half marathons or more but i get bored running anything more than 5 mi

Podcasts and sunny days help.

>not running at the break of dawn

Just how involved are you arms in running? I think I have tennis elbow and don't want to prolong recovery but I'm also desperate to exercise. It's been weeks now.

how on earth do I pace myself
I've been running 3 weeks and unless I run with someone, I'm all over
