What year do you expect the percentage of American adults who are overweight or obese to fall below 50%?

What year do you expect the percentage of American adults who are overweight or obese to fall below 50%?

My guess: 2065

Depends on whether or not we get the wall and whether or not the ICE STORM continues.

If it does: Around 2035.
No wall and sanctuary nation: Never. We will get fatter and fatter

Is there no hope of a technological innovation that makes all the difference?

Not in this century, to be honest with you.

Cuckmerica is already lost. There's is no future. You will submit to the roastie creatura brood queen.

Why would the current trend just stop? Get fat muricans xd

Perhaps advances in virtual reality would allow people to gorge themselves as much as they like and experience the associated pleasure, but without consuming any calories

It will never drop as long as sharts get their (((corn syrup))) and (((onions)))

I'm more hoping somehow there will be gene therapy or some kind of pill that negates the digestion and absorption of any calories over what you are seeking, either cutting, maintaining or bulking.

Why would it fall? Normal weight BMI is trending downwards on that chart. America is the most consumption driven society ever to exist. American corporations depend on growing consumption. Americans are going to keep growing. When they can't handle anymore they're going to let more people into the country. Society used to revolve around going to church and spreading the word around the world. Now it revolves around going to Walmart and letting the world come in too.

With the current trend of hispanics invading, I doubt we'll ever be below 50% again.

>let's do intensive farming so that we can eat infinitely more than we ever need
The funny thing is you're probably the type to believe in global warming yet feeding an endlessly growing populace with an endlessly growing appetite doesn't strike you as a more imminent danger or the root cause of the issue.

The technology is calling going vegan, you fat faggot

>the type to believe in global warming

You mean, not a fucking retard? Not the person you're responding too but keep your Alex Jones shit on Jow Forums mindcuck

*called. Phone poster

Don't watch Alex Jones but I do have a degree in Physics. The evidence for AGW is very flimsy, starting with the low quality of data collection and the poor scientific practice used in generating computer models. Feel free to examine the studies and critiques yourself, I have and if you have any background in hard science they're plain as day.

My point stands even if you do believe in global warming. Population growth (in number and size) is destroying the habitability of the planet and targetting CO2 emissions won't save it.

>reddit spacing
>being triggered
you need to go back

> Why would it fall? Normal weight BMI is trending downwards on that chart.

My hope is that eventually people will sort themselves out.

>implying this will ever happen

You'd have to be equally retarded not to think that population growth is a huge cause of global warming. Please mail your science degree back to the website that issued it to you.

I have a masters in forensic science and I couldn't really interpret the data from studies that I saw. I just had to go off the abstract and conclusion. I take the word of science culture at large that global warming is real. But it's also disconcerting that a small group of climatologists who are dependent on public funding are the ones airing the sirens since their jobs are basically only guaranteed when the fear is there. My friend does environmental resource management or some shit, and work was always sparse, except if there were emergencies like pine beetle infestations of massive fires.

>this moron unironically thought that all the brown people he see's in public would be gone once trump was elected president
I don't even pity you at this point.

does your amount of autism affect your daily life outings

We've been studying the climate in depth since the late 40s. If anything pissing off the oil companies and corporations dependent on excess consumption has decreased their government funding.

>We've been studying the climate in depth since the late 40s
Which is a major issue. We don't have enough quality data, that's not long enough.
>satellite data going back 40 years (global)
>weather station data going back maybe 150 years (local, only on land i.e. 1/3rds of earth at best, extrapolated globally by models, wide error margins)
>proxy data (local, either tree rings, sediment or ice cores, covering a tiny percentage of the earth, going back hundreds of thousands of years but with extremely wide error margins)

Then take a look at where we get CO2 data. Then consider that there are other greenhouse gases, far more potent than CO2 and if you don't have good historical data for them too then your model won't be right. Then there are things like air particulates and solar storms and if you don't include those factors then your models won't be right. This is why the computer models are continually being proven wrong, they're only as good as the data and factors you use to construct them.

CO2 is a greenhouse gas but it is not proven in anyway that the levels we're increasing it by will cause a catastrophic event to occur, it's all postulation. We simply good enough data to make a conclusion.

We have climate data reaching back way, way before 1940. You are a fucking idiot - I cannot stress this enough.

Yeah from weather stations which are sparse and only exist on land mass (1/3rd of the planet). That's not global temperature. You have to extrapolate that globally which introduces more margin of error.

Before that it's all proxy data which has the same problem except bigger because you have very few locations on the earth's surface to get them from and proxy data itself has an even bigger margin of error.

It's a joke how bad the data is and like I say that's only for the temperature. CO2 and other factors have even wider errors.

Why are you arguing about global warming?

We're here to talk about fat people.

Fatties have more carbon

People feel threatened when a core belief is challenged.

The science is in bro, global warming is confirmed, eating fat makes you fat, s9y shoukd be the basis of every diet, and most people simply have too much blood

Fair enough
