It's really disgusting and also explains why young Americans are so bad at socializing. I went to America for a business meeting, I shook a lot of hands and a lot of them were children and teens, all of them had a weak handshake. A few them didn't even grip, they just flopped their hand into mine and looked at the floor. It's just sad to see. Where I'm from, people love socializing and are mentally strong for it.

Maybe it's certain area in America that's like this. I traveled through New York to Texas. People in Oklahoma were the most sociable to me, but that could've just been the event at the time. Regardless, I saw far to many young people who were poorly socialized. I think there's a correlation to that and why there are so many school shootings in America.

yeah I think in the city you don't interact much with people, you just interact with the roles they play in your life. A cashier is basically an NPC, and if you don't know them personally or are trying to get to know them you couldn't care less who the person is if they just ring up your items.

As an Eastern European with very strong family values, I can tell you from my perspective, that is one of Americas largest problems. Eastern Europe isn't particularly rich, but we aren't poor either. Depends on where in East Europe, regardless, Eastern Europeans usually grow to be strong men and I believe, in my experience, that's because of strong family. If America sorted out it's terrible family issue, I think a lot of problems would dissapear.
