Mizunos of any kind
Don't waste your time on any other brand

I live in a city with a lot of crime and a high homeless population

so unless I'd like to step on broken glass or a hypodermic needle, this is not an option

pussy

Get out!

honestly go into a running store that has a treadmill+camera setup. You can run and they will be able to recommend a shoe based on how your feet tilt, etc. when running. Don't buy the shoe at the store tho, just go on amazon and buy it cheaper.

The ones that are comfortable to you

I did the same, I got brookes

How would I find a store that does this. Like what do I Google?

>go for a run
>realize afterward that they were set to walk the whole time
>all was for naught

I thought this meme died in 2013

With current techs, I'd say Nike. ASICS has gone to shit.

I just moved from Nike to some asics nimbus 20s and they are so much better than anything else I've ever worn. I've tried tons of Nike throughout the years, a pair of Merrell and Adidas but the Asics are my favorite.

Absolutely this. I had custom orthopedics, tendinitis, knee pain, and so on from bad shoes and flat, wide feet. Got fitted, and every health problem went away. I've run thousands of miles with no pain. It's 150$ a pair, but it's SO worth it.

Daily reminder that there is no evidence that different shoe types will affect your pronation and that there is not good evidence that pronation affects injury rate in the first place

do you also believe sandyhook was a myth? and that all those families just had paid actor kids for their entire lives up until they were killed?

This. I suggest buying a neutral shoes first, can't go wrong with it.

Ultraboosts
Boost is a meme but it really is comf

>heel running
store makes shoes so you can continue to run on your heels

Sandy Hook definitely happened. That doesn't mean it wasn't planned by people other than Lanza.

>running in ultra boosts
kek okay ya fucking high schooler

They were designed for long-distance running.

>Don't buy the shoe at the store tho, just go on amazon and buy it cheaper.

this is so broke-college-kid-tier. why wouldn't you even ask if they price match? a lot of places that specialize in this type of individualized servic are locally owned and would probably consider it. plus, if it's only a couple bucks cheaper they'd still be happy to have your business.

instead, dickwads like you take advantage of their specialized care then run off to give literally the richest man in the world more money just to save a couple bucks.

wasn't their help finding the perfect shoe for you at least worth giving them the business? even if it cost a little bit more? cheap ass bitch.

That's literally what they were meant to do

Fuck off, retard.

i hope your job gets outsourced to india because americans are too fucking cheap to buy muh american

dick move bro. if you use the facilities and advice support the store and salesman who used his time.

i dont work at a shoes store but if everyone does this the store goes out of business and then we can't use the advice.

Used to work at a footwear store (amart sports) most of the " Technology" is just marketing bullshit. If your feet pronate dramatically when standing get a pair of shoes with strong ankle support and with high arch. If you have normal feet you can wear whatever you like.

Here's a video to prove my point.

>when your poorly thought-out and researched insult backfires this transparently
YIKES

>saving money
>a bad thing

I like to run in ultraboosts, but that's also because I'm a sneaker head

Nike Pegasus, saucony kinvara, whatever the equivalent neutral brooks/adidas boost trainers are out rn

boots
If you can run in boots
well
you can run

This is the running equivalent of that guy who buys "gamer gear" so he can get good at video games while the Korean Starcraft pros all play on fucking membrane keyboards with cheap mice.

The building shown on the news report wasn't the school, it was the firehouse down the road who were having a planning emergency drill for a school shooter scenario that day. The more you know.

user. Nike has been the one that's gone to shit. I had 2 pair I hardly used under the bed but finally pulled those bad boys out and within the first 100 yards, the sole exploded off. Whatever materials they started using are shit

Seconding Mizuno but the real answer is . Nike, Asics, Brooks, Saucony, etc. all make great running shoes. Go with whatever works best for you.

light as possible

if you're europoor, buy last years model

Completely agreed. Support your local running and outdoor stores. Don’t be a cheap faggot.

this

>hurr why should we support local owned businesses that personally helped us when we can save a couple bucks and buy from faceless megacorporation number 7
fuck off
faggots like you are the reason wallmarts destroyed small towns and apple became so huge

I just run in random $30 sneakers

do people really care what shoes other people run in?
jesus christ, you guys are like those faggots at the gym that have $1200 worth of nike gear on and then lift babyweight

>tfw wide feet

Why does every running shoe brand offer only the most hideous colorways in EE widths?

wow
ur such a badass
i clap for u

Generally you’re going to get a lot more mileage and better cushioning/support when you buy a high quality pair of running shoes. $120 isn’t a bad price for shoes you’ll get 400+ miles out of.

i wasnt trying to be badass
based on your response looks like i hit a nerve though huh?

Reminder to get outside and run. Fuck treadmills.

No it isn’t.

>$120 is expensive in amerilard

Terrible reading comprehension, bud.

me fail english

The main issue is whether you want to spring for a heavier but more durable full-foot air shoe like the Kayano or Air Max or Brooks Beast OR whether you want to buy a EVA (foam) sole shoe and replace it every 2-6 months.

Most legitimate running stores will do this for you. Stay away from places like Dicks, Academy, and the like. Google running specific stores.

Europoors constantly searching for ways to cope for living a second-rate country

>people actually fall for this meme marketing bullshit

Attached: Oh_My_Sides!.jpg (600x603, 39K)

The video is corny but going to a specialty running shop to get fitted for a shoe that's right for you really is a great idea for new runners.

Came here to say this. If you don't support your local businesses you won't have any local businesses, and America will be sucking at the teat of Walmart and Amazon forever. Monopolies/oligopolies are just modern serfdoms.

Fuck off Marxist scum

This is capitalism. If your business can't compete you will go under. Simple as that.

Fuck off commies, the market decided.

I'm honestly starting to think just flat soled shoes are the best by far.
Tried dozens of different running shoes, including ones recommended on the basis of gait analysis at several different running stores.
They all feel unnatural and awkward.
A flat, thin sole is the best.

>mmm slobber slobber, do you like it when I lick the underside of your big corporate COCK, my overlords?
>Yes, let me act against my own interest to make you richer and myself poorer, I'm a dirty whore for you

Brooks and Mizuno. Best vegan running shoes on the market

>My local running store hosts Flapjack Friday every week where they provide free food for anyone who wants to show up
>They use the mornings to promote local races and running events
>They organize a race team and generally make my city's scene a better place
Like hell I'm gonna send my money to Bezos

How much do you run? Flat soles are shit.

Hoka One One
Buy American

>Don't buy the shoe at the store tho, just go on amazon and buy it cheaper.
the best goy

Yes, got me a new pair recently and they feel great

If you want to start running (and are not active), you will have extreme pronations because your joints and tendons are weak as fuck. So they will recommend you some shoes that give lots of stability. However the more you run the stronger you will get and the less you will need those.

I don't know how bad stability is in shoes but I guess it is a good idea to get a form check once in a while.

>Brooks and Mizuno. Best vegan running shoes on the market
Shit, I didn't know. Guess I have to rub some bacon on them now.

In all seriousness, I have the Caldera and the Puregrit and they are both great for what they are supposed to do.

Mizuno we're garbage up until a few years ago, I still don't trust them.

Asics have always been way too expensive. Nike makes one good running shoes, that's the Pegasus. And if they don't fit your foot type, don't even look at them.

These are not running shoes. Back to /fa/ with you

Go to a running store and have them test your feet or whatever. Or you can figure it out on your own with online guides. Get a pair of saucony's or Brooks that are made for the type shoe you need: neutral, cushion, blah blah. Buy last year's model from holabirdsports, amazon, Zappos, wherever and you'll be set.

Were* goddamn phone posting autocorrect

>Ultraboosts
>not running shoes
user...

can this meme die already

>meme
How stupid can you be OMG, they are literally your feet, through millions of years of evolution...

agree if and only if:
>price match
>the price difference is 5-15 bucks

i'm not gonna pay DOUBLE or some ridiculous markup just for some greedy show store owner to ram me up the ass

They may say running shoes, but they're just streetwear. They're just a flimsy rubber cage on foam. That mesh will just blow out and they really aren't made to actually run in. Are there worse options? Yes. But these aren't actually running shoes.

Oh please, they are rated quite highly as the running shoes.
runrepeat.com/adidas-ultra-boost

I have a mate who is a decent runner and she wears ultraboosts.

about 40k a week on a normal week.
flat soles protect your feet from rocks and other sharp objects.
your feet did not evolve to run on squishy wedges.

Running store near me

If you live in a moderately big city, you'll have something nearby. Avoid stores that sell multiple shoe types ( basketball, running, soccer, etc) and just go to one that specializes in running.

Read reviews too, most runners will leave good feedback for the stores that care.

Fuck Amazon, the price is practically the same and supporting a local running store is good for the sole... That's a pun boy

Fat fuck jogger reporting in

Just got a new pair of ON clouds, my second pair. Fucking love them

careful with those knees pal.
Depending on your weight, you might wanna do some swimming or something, until you are a bit lighter on your feet.
not trying to be a dick here, that is a legit concern.

This

Just bought a pair of Nike Zoom Winflo 4. Got them on sale and they've got a good reviews.

Alright. Maybe I'm wrong. I've worn them a few years ago and they felt like shitty racing flats with more cushion. I'll tryon a pair next time I'm at the store and see if they've changed something.

saving money and being a fucking cheapskate are two different things.
Pay the fucking people for the service they provide.
Making them do a gait analysis and then buying the shoes somewhere else is a DICK MOVE.
Disputing that means you are probably a massive dick.

like 50 people in your country are rich, the rest are dirt poor plebians and trailer trash.
In european nations the wealth we worked for as A COUNTRY can be enjoyed by everyone, not just a select few.
But what would a corporate dicklicker mutt know about principles such as solidarity.

No, it's business.

Being a consumer is not a business.
Selling shoes is a business. They sold you a shoe now buy it from the people that deserve it you cheapskate fuckwad.

I'd rather buy something with 50% off, thank you.

you're an asshole and a cheapskate.
case closed.

Without the consumer there is no business!

Went to a store nearby called Fleet Feet to get new shoes. They like analyze my feet and have like a foot expert look at your walk. They hooked me up with these Brooks that are the best shoes I have ever worn. In and out in like 15 minutes. Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 btw.

You don't have to trust them
Just choose a good pair and they'll last you a hell of a long time
And if you like the pair enough go back and buy a few more pairs so when they inevitably stop production of that line you can still get more

Nope, vegans and hipsters have been keeping it alive

>The market decided
No it didn't the corporations and politicians eliminated your other choices
That isn't deciding that's being forced
Hang yourself FDR cunt

just try not to blow anyone up today Mohamed
