Same here, though I wouldn't say that I'm a "tryhard", even as a kid I have always been tomboyish. This is how relationships work after the initial honeymoon period. You enjoy each other's presence and feel relaxed and do your own thing. After a while there's not so much need for verbal interaction and you've mostly learned everything there is to know about the other person. So it's a sort of spiritual connection and feeling of warmth from your SO's presence next to you.
