This guy in my class whose been lifting for 5months said he hit 4pl8 deadlift and he’s on PPL. Called bullshit on him, but he insists.
He’s lying, right? He doesn’t even look that strong.

nobody who DL's alot actually looks like they DL alot
I've been browsing Jow Forums for years and I still haven't bothered to know what 4pl8 or PPL means.
There's a simple way to find out, OP. Go to his gym and watch. If he's stronger than you ask for some pointers.
4plate = Olympic bar with four 20kg plates each side I.e. 180kg total.
PPL = push pull legs, a routine considered good by some.
literal DYEL
PPL-Push, Pull, Legs: a routine plan
x plate- x amount of 45 lb plates on each side of a 45 lb bar.
The thing is, he said he weighs around 150. I find it hard to believe someone could pull 2.5x their bodyweight and not actually not be on a strength program.
what does based mean
I think it's possible, but I don't think it's likely.
I reckon if I started from zero I could diddly 3pl8 in 3 months, so who knows?
Deadlifts increase fast
I'm at 3.5 pl8 DL after 3 months 5x5 4 months nSuns at 5'9 153 lbs (started at 133 lbs DL was prob around 95 to start). Def possible
Does he have gorilla arms? Only way it would be possible
Does somebody still have a video of that lanky kid who was doing SS and pulling 4pl8s but couldn't even bench 1pl8. Biomechanics matter, bruh.
"alpha" "cool" "admirable"
"beta" "stupid" "retarded"
Both of these are correct.
> talking about fitness with normies
da fuq is wrong with you?
I did that in similar time frame but I weighed 170-180 lbs
Xpl8 - total number of plates on the bar. A plate is 45 lbs so 4pl8 = 180lbs
Ask him HOW he deadlifts. If he deadlifts with shit form then it doesn't matter what he claims his lift is.
Ask him if he means four plates on each side of the bar, or four plates total
