Okay guys I need you help.

I'm a gym noob and only have been 4 times. I was trying to lose some stomach fat and gain some muscle at the same time by eating very high protien at a calorie deficit but I have since read that doesn't work. So judging by my body type should I gain muscle or lose fat first? I can either cut my calories further or eat more carbs. Is it possible to do both at the same time as noob? Thanks

Possible to do both for your first months of lifting. Whatever program you use, follow it to the T.

I’d recommend just focusing on your protein as a beginner and do your best to not eat garbage.

You can expect nice gains with 3 months of CONSISTENT EFFORT. Make your form perfect on every lift.

If I were you I'd probably do a small surplus, maybe 200kcal.
You might even lose some fat along the way.

Not particularly Jow Forums but I'll chime in. Pick a sport you like - should be something relatively cheap, fun, but most importantly easily accessible so you have no excuse not to do it. Practice as often as possible, just to keep active.
To lose weight, try eating fewer carbs like bread and sugar. Eat a low-calorie breakfast and try to limit yourself to not eat about 4 hours before bed. This will mean you almost skip one meal per day. Now you're losing weight.
To gain muscle, don't try to gym it up immediately, set up a routine you can do at home for 20-30min per day. Mostly body weight, but you can use other stuff as well. Try to be on a schedule and don't be discouraged if you can't see the results immediately. It takes lots of time and effort.

Bit of both I'm quite skinny but have some belly fat, I'm going on holiday in 7 weeks and don't know whether it's quicker to drop the stomach fat and be skinny or try and gain as much as possible in this time obviously I will still train after that
