Things u wish u knew b4 starting

Deadlifting for the first time tomorrow after years of ignoring it and now I realise it's crucial for putting on mass if u don't wanna have 2 cut to skelly.

Any1 got any tips, mistakes u made in progression of the deadlift?

I know every1 says it only takes 9 months to get 4pl8s but it usually takes 2 + years due to the fact ppl don't know what they're doing.

What should I avoid and what should I focus on, plus any mistakes u made.

Only advice I can personally give is not to overdo it on volume/frequency/tonnage. If you already squat thrice a week you probably won't need to pull more than a couple heavy sets. Otherwise, you might put undue stress on your back and get injured.

Should I diddylift twice a week or once

I'd say twice if that's the case. Currently, I squat and deadlift twice per week on the same day.

First day is a lighter set of deadlift followed by 5 sets of squats. Second day is a heavier set of deadlift followed by 3 sets of squats. I don't the deadlift first so that my back isn't compromised beforehand.

This might not apply to you since you're still a novice. Tbh if I was if your shoes I'd hop on SS or SL 5x5 and run that out. You'll make the most gains in the shortest amount of time.

Neither SS or SL call for 3x5 for 5x5 DL, both say 1x5 on alternate days. SS complicates this further in phase 2 and 3 by introducing back extensions and power cleans.

You doing a ULxULxx split or something? If so, just use something along the lines of the method I spoke about earlier.

I'd tell myself not to bulk to fatmode and do SS.

Eat around maintenance and do a memesplit and you'll look way better.

I think i might 3x a week for a month just to get the lift up a bit quicker, at this stage I reckon I can manage +15lbs a week. It's only 1 set too, literally will take 5mins

You should do warm up sets to work your way to your working set or you'll snap your shit up

The key to the DL is to squeeze everything. My brotégé has been struggling a bit with tightness in the DL, yesterday I forgot the chalk, so I was just encouraging him to squeeze the fuck out of the bar in his set up, and his deads looked the best they ever have, 2 months in now and yesterday he got a 2pl8 x1 squat and 2.5pl8x2 diddly. Feels good man

My goal has to be to make my dad stop spit at me and angry when i go his front door! for 11 years he left me alone and tell me to do that to him, after my incident he throw me out! now i am going back to finish some study and getting out of a bad situation almost there! i plan by christmas go his front door and show him my greatness! my mum passes away in 2007 but they didnt liked each other so i just want one parent again! he will become my dad again like he used to ! my goals will be come reality and next christmas im have a family again :)
