If you train every day and rest one I think 2 or 3 of those days for legs are fair.

Try front squats if you wanna feel a huuge core burn, you'll have abs in no time with those

Leg press has been the biggest mass gainer for my legs (and I have decent legs with about 1-2 inches of outward sweep). Lying leg curls are good for hammies, squats are fun to add weight.

Typical workout is something like:

- 6 sets of heavy squats (5> reps, usually a pyramid scheme)

- 6 sets of midrange rep leg press (6-10 reps)

- 3 sets of either lying leg curls or calves (sometimes I'll drop a few sets of leg press and do both calves and curls if I'm getting tired).

Let me emphasize that sets should be at failure or close to it. It's not a lot of overall reps and sets but you should be going pretty hard.

I should incorporate something then. My legs are the right size but they are nowhere near as defined as my upper body.

I think squatting burns 800 calories an hour, if you squat 30 mins a day total you can probably add 400

Some people are hard gainers. I saw size gains when I was bulking but after my first cut the fat around my thighs and calves went away. The low rep heavy weight squats weren’t maintainable and I saw muscle size decrease too. Nowadays I increase the weight every set and keep the rep range 8-12. I should lower the weight and do 20-30 reps but I haven’t yet. I worry about losing my strength to squat 225 5x10.

I feel like if you can do legs twice a day you are doing it wrong. I say thrash 'em twice a week so you can barely walk the next day, pin test, and eat more protein.
