Attached: worthless spotting.webm (640x360, 668K)

they fulfill a niche.

retard womemes want to get fit and don't want to invest their own time into learning how to do so properly. so they throw some money at a jacked guy they can flirt with for an hour

I'm a good coach

But most are a meme

Anyone who advises exercise balls and the like is a meme

If you teach crossfit just kys

Attached: meme exercise.webm (640x800, 2.51M)

I'm a noob, what's wrong with this?

Nothing, that poster is a moron

no no...it's because they aren't doing DA BEEG LEEFTS and getting yoked and swole
Cause... you know...that's what women want.

Fucking up her joints doing a meme exercise. Zero form.
Knees are pointing in all directions.
Seeing that she is wobbling too, my guess is that she needs more core strenght to even try this idiotic shit.

She could just do regular squats, bulgarian split squats or dumbbell lunges with much better results.
t. crossfitter
kys faggot

Well it's obviously for show. Those are fake baby weight plates made to look big. You don't build any muscle with weight so light you can go forever with. She is wasting her time not getting anywhere fast, the idiot woman.

>bulgarian split squats or dumbbell lunges with much better results.

You know what those exercises are right?

user, you're a stupid powerlifting faggot and you tossed in those other two fucking exercises in a failed attempt to hide how fucking stupid and biased you are.

That's a whole bunch of pressure on all your joints and no real exercise. Meant to ruin your cartilage

I can't think of a single thing this shitshow of an exercise could possibly accomplish that a half dozen things couldn't accomplish better, faster, and safer.

>personnel trainer at my gym can rep 3/4/5 in his sleep
>still does meme bosu ball workouts for his clients
>ask him why
>'they want the feeling of working hard and being out of breath'
>'they don't really care about getting fit'
>'I'm just an accountability buddy'

Attached: 1521417276888.png (560x407, 16K)

what?
What?

You people are fucking retarded.
I swear to fucking god.

>You know what those exercises are right?
Better exercises than any stupid fucking crossfitter can make up

I don't know how I didn't think of this before

Go for it.
Name them.
>In before you shit out some nonsense retardation about DA BEEG LEEFTS and embarass the absolute fuck out of yourself.

t. pic related

Have fun with your ruined joints when you hit 35 dumbass

Attached: crossfitter.webm (640x640, 703K)

You're claiming that what she's doing is bad for her joints, then you go suggest two fucking exercises that are the exact fucking same thing.

How the fuck are any of the exersices I named the exact same thing? What was even going through your head when you decided to post something so fucking stupid?

What would that even be called monkey raises?

>retard womemes

it's not exclusive to females.

thats true tho, personal trainers need their clients to keep coming back so they give them light weight stuff and some cardio that gives slight DOMs so they get the feeling of working out. If we put them thru a real routine they wouldn't be able to get out of bed the next morning and probably wouldn't keep coming back.
I have 2 clients who actually want to workout properly and i give them real programs with progression and track their lifts. Every time i try to transition a meme exercise client into a real program they complain that the next day they could barely move and didn't like it. You have no idea how hard it is to compete with PTs offering '30day squat ass tone program". Clients see chicks on insta plugging bullshit programs and eating pizza and legitimately think that its a realistic goal. Then after the 30 days of doing that program they convince themselves that they see a difference because all anyone comments on their insta is false circle jerking comments
Plus for most people just trying to get 'healthy' all they need is 45 minutes of high rep+cardio stay active. Not everyone's trying for 1,2,3,4

Well if the goal of whatever she was doing was to improve overhead strength, either generally or specific to that snatch catch position, overhead squats, standing press, push press, and even bench press and rows would be better, simpler, require less space, and generally less liable to lead to injury due to a loss of control from all the stupid movement.

If the goal is to improve strength in the legs, hips, or trunk, then squats, deadlifts, paused squats, Romanian deadlifts, speed squats, straight legged deadlifts, and even glute/ham raises and roman chair sit ups would be better in every way.

If the goal is to look F U N C T I O N A L on Instagram, I concede that I can't think of anything better.

she has no form and is fucking up her joints. you have no clue about human anatomy or physical fitness.

there's this trainer at my gym who is the biggest asshole to these middle aged something dudes who are trying to get in shape. the PT waddles around barely talks them- OBVIOUSLY disinterested in their progress or helping them... i feel so bad for them- and then when some qt walks by he flirts and chats them up. honestly pisses me off, i feel truly bad for them. i'm like... do these people not know what the internet is? or... have a shred of discipline that they can use instead of these terrible PT? rantover.

Yes. And it is why I dropped the PT handle and call myself a coach. I actually want to help those who want to be helped.

This is why 30 year olds need to be banned from all gyms

That's is why crossfitters needs to be banned from all gyms

Attached: 1525489331018.webm (280x480, 2.1M)

old people aren't people

Are they clients of that trainer? Otherwise it's not like he HAS to talk to them, unless he just wants to make a sale on a new client. And I think it's pretty clear that he does not want those people as clients. At least that's how it works at my gym.

i'm studying to be one through NASM, gonna do my best to not be a shit one.

what the fuck am I looking at here

ay yakuza

why is she lunging so far outward?

Average Australian university class.

Is that Captain Marvel?

Because her personal trainer is a fucking idiot
Yes

you realize the excersize she's doing is working core strength right that would be the reason she's wobbling. I'm more worried about her bending her knee inward. It's also hard to crank out good form when you're actually challenging yourself.
I don't think any of her goals involve building strength she's a women. It's called an overhead lunge it's legit. it's just a lunge but you're holding a bar over you're head to work the upperbody aswell. However her form is not the best, but it happens.

And there are tons of exercises that work your core strength safely. That is not one of them

>108▶
liek?

there is no more pressure on her joints doing that than there is for any other lift, its also extremely good for core strength and stability

yes her form is bad and she should drop the weight a bit, but theres nothing retarded about her doing it

inb4 SQUATZ N OATS/deadlift r tards

because theyre literally the exact same movement except with the weight held at a different position. fucking idiot

fucking clients man... poor dudes :( i'm there so much i'd give them the run-down if they would ask but they just sort of look sad and follow his directions. "okay and now... lift this 5lb weight up- HEY BABE SUP HOW YOU BE" GORGEOUS

>t.idiot

bro... i'm 31 and i go and follow my program, getting bulked, try and stay out of everyones way. do my compounds, let others use the fountain if i fill my bottle up and they are waiting,.. dont be like that mang. someday you;'ll be 30 i hope you are still ripped by then, too

the problem is that she sould be stepping straight forward. I guess it's not the worst thing i've ever seen, but lowering the weight until she has the form down would be a good thing.

Neither of you have any idea what pressure even means. Fucking dyels crossfitters kys
Are you implying squats and deadlifts aren't superior in building core strength? Are you for real? If so, your fitness knowledge is so fucking shitty you should lurk much more

The idea for most weighted/resistance exercises is fast/hard movements for 1-15 reps. There are exceptions, but most are in a single, relatively straight plane of motion. Doing lunges isn't necessarily a waste of time, but doing it with meme plates, above the head, all the while moving forward instead of in place is a severe waste of time. It's people trying to combine cardio and weightlifting just for show, when they should be doing cross-training.

no argument

tell me how that has any more pressure than a lunge with a dumbell at her sides

It's just lunges with a 100000000000% increased chance of dropping the bar and killing yourself.

What's the market for them like and what does it take to be one
Was thinking for one point how easy it would be to be a good one out of all the shitty ones

You misspelled "Everything" and "genius".

I went to a gym in Portland that was offering tryal boot camps to see if you like it. I won it in some raffle.
When I was there, I kept hearing all this off hand comments about how this guy showing his arms was toxic masculinity. That he was man spreading and didn't realize his white privilege. I couldn't stand it. When I asked about it they we're shocked it rubbed me the wrong way

That's what I thought. No idea what pressure means

A reminder to not skip penis day.

Squats, crunches, flutter kicks, planks, etc.

ok grandpa

honestly ive never had any success with the plank, only strain i felt was on my arms

can feel it just with the flutter kicks/ leg raises/ sit ups but i always have difficulty with getting the proper form for a plank i guess

Physicsfag here

It all has to do with stability and center of gravity, Id draw you a diagram and do the math but its like 1 am, ill post in the morning if you want

Basically dumbells to the side keeps your center of gravity in your lower core to pelvic area which makes it easier on your body to diperse the workload along your muscles and less on your joints. This is not true for the overhead meme lunge (OML) where your center of gravity will in your upper abs to chest area which doesnt have as many stabilizers to disperse the workload correctly.

This is true even assuming perfect form for both exercises but the overhead meme lunge also has a more difficult time due to the greater amount of joints your involved in the workout. When you have dumbells hanging the only joints that are actively involved in the workout are your knees and you also have gravity actively working with you pulling evenly on each dumbell stabilizing you further.

OML also involves your shoulders and elbows with gravity actively working against youre stability. Also if one of your arms is not as strong as the other the weight can become unevenly distributed causing severe stress on a large area of stabilizers which can easily buckle causing a chain reaction.

Which brings me to my next point if you fail the side dumbells you can easily drop them with little to no negative effects on yourself. With weight over your head if you fail it becomes much more dangerous with the risk of dropping the weight on your head or risking throwing it and breaking something. Obviously this isn't too serious with the weight shes lifting but if we scaled this up to even 95lbs this becomes a serious concern.

TL:DR biophysics is the reason that this workout impractical

>womemes

how do i do a proper plank

It depends alot on your body.

Your goal is to have your center of gravity directly in the middle of core but the form to achieve this is related to you muscle composition and body section lengths, basically just test out different forms, some people need their chest raised higher others need their butt higher and chest lower, you want to have your weight evenly distributed between your legs and arms, youll feel it if you do it right

by holding your body straight?

yeah but i mostly felt it in my upper body and arms

what about arm placement? push up style or doing a L with your arms on the ground?

Forarms on the ground is most effective because your goal should be to put the entire workload on your abs, if you feel tons of pressure anywhere else your doing it wrong

planks are useless unless you want a toned lower back. literally any other excercise for abs is better.

One of the PTs at my gym is a powerbuilder who squats at least 4 pl8. He gave me good advice, and helped me set up a bretty good routine based on greyskull. Even Jow Forums likes it

>yeah but i mostly felt it in my upper body and arms
You should probably try to hold it longer. Sounds like you have some muscles that are much weaker than others. And definitly L. It's not necessary to keep your arms like a straight L all the time though. I usually grab my hands together at the end of the set.

Stronger core = more weight on ab exercises though

>planks are useless unless you want to strengthen your core sabilizers

Dont listen to this chucklefuck, theyre less useful if your skinny but core strength doesnt just mean a 6 pack

thanks bros

Not biophysics fag but did do a lot of biomechanics in undergrad. Calisthenic movement has a good video on it to activate your anterior chain and core during it to get the most benefit.

Unfortunately its not so simple, it cant just he one size fits all
Try lowering your pelvis closer to the ground if you cant go any lower you can always try to plank with a plate under your arms and legs to have more room to work with, keep experiencing with height differentials until you feel it in your core

Im physics fag and I never took a formal biophysics class, in fact I did astrophysics in undergrad but I have a lot of anatomy knowledge from lifting so I just kind make a lot of assumptions, some could be wrong so dont take everything I say as gospel

A very rare Yakuza initiation ritual

Penis inspection day, you didn't do this at college?

This is unironically more functional than bench

I remember I was with this chick for awhile. She got fatter and fatter as we were together. As soon as we broke up her and a couple of her friends tagged her in some bullshit youtube video of those retard "workouts"

Like bitch come on, I know you don't have the self discipline to do that. Otherwise you wouldnt need a posse to get started.

she's now with a dude just as fat as her

that is why (((your kind))) has to be banned

me on the left

nerd shit

Gonna start from the ground up:
>Her stepping is weird; putting pressure on the wrong parts of her foot and kinda rolling forwards
>She's wobbling her knees a lot, which is bad
>Her legs are wobbling around a lot in general; this is gonna end badly for a few reasons
>She's slamming her knee onto the ground, which is probably painful
>She's bending her legs at an angle that they should not be bent while weighted
>She's taking a step without coming up properly so everything is on one leg, and she's totally unbalanced

The way she's holding that barbell is the absolute fucking worst though. First off, it's slightly behind and her arms straight up. Absolutely no reason to do that unless you want to fuck up your shoulders. It offers no advantage to laying it over your shoulders like a squat, but presents a tonne of dangers. You can see it wobble; dropping a weight on your head is bad, but so is being unable to use weights big enough to actually give progress because the way you're holding the bar is all wrong.

No, it's because she's doing a bunch of minor stuff wrong that presents a bunch of danger with no advantage over doing it the proper way. Lunges are fine; weird, extended arm lunges with a tonne of danger are not.

One helped me get me exactly where I wanted when I started at 16, so no they are not a "meme" (ignoring your misuse of the word) and in fact can be very helpful.

>Dey pickin a drug addicts guy cus dey stupids, boi.
Actually she was a cardio bunny. I think the best looking one, then talked to her. I needed actual helpful advice from someone who could relate so I could get where I wanted, which I got. Things I didn't even consider like targeting pectorals. Slightly bigger boobs, only homos would argue against that.

What the hell
Just use dumbbells lmao

>im going to be doing overhead carries

Attached: david.jpg (480x360, 17K)

I see the point that the exercise is dangerous because it puts weight above your head. And I'll take your word that your upper core has less stabilizers than your pelvis.

But if your intention was to strengthen your stability, maybe in your torso and shoulders, then I don't see how this exercise is so retarded if done with proper weight.

Also, anybody want to remind me while every girl gets called a retarded whore on this site?

>not doing reverse lawn mower pulls
>making it
choose one

its not about knowledge.
many people just want someone to tell them what to do. especially women. even if they know what to do, they just want someone to tell them.

Yes.

They only serve one legit purpose, and that is forcing lazy people to work out.

I am thinking of becoming a PT, what do you think? I do genuinely want to help people and possibly also fuck them.

>It's also hard to crank out good form when you're actually challenging yourself.
Absolute moron. If you aren't on stage don't sacrifice form for ego. Unless you want an injury?

I imagine it's useful for bigbois with zero motivation or to help lankyboys like me get the initial muscle because they can't do more than two pushups despite being under 80kgs

help me and my sinful ligaments. my girlfriend teases me about it by putting her fingers around my wrist.

>womemes
this should be a word filter

The gym instructor is enough

women dont want to gain muscle, they want to get rid of fat and get slightly toned. how fucking retarded are you seriously

chinks are disgusting, ugly face, ugly hair, skinny body, tiny dick.

fuck, I laughed out loud
