Workout hygiene

Male. I run on weekend mornings and I get super sweaty, especially my hair. I take a shower every day, but I wash/shampoo my hair only 2-3 times a week because I read it's the best way for your hair to develop.

When I got home from running today, Saturday, my hair was soaked in sweat. I showered my body and I decided to shampoo my hair tommorow because I usually meet up with people on Sundays and have nothing to do on Saturdays. But I also read that sweat can prevent your hair from growing rapidly and that it can cause balding on the scalp.

Is this true? Should I shampoo my hair every time it gets sweaty after a workout?

Also, how often do you people wash/shampoo your hair?

I wash and shampoo everyday using that crappy men’s 3 in 1 stuff. Even so I often get compliments on the quality of my hair (I really don’t know why, maybe it’s bevause I didn’t shower AT ALL until the 8th grade. Or maybe it’s cause I use cold water)

Why use cold water?

hair loss is genetic, it doesn't matter at all you treat your hair

of course that doesn't mean you should throw acid on top of your head, you get my point.

You sweat a lot less over time as your body adapts, until you get sued to it though just ramp up the deodorant/take quick showers to compensate.
Last thing you want to do is over-bleach yourself with shampoo and kill your skins oils.

I guess then I should stick to the 2-3 times a week schedule.

Shower twice a day everyday unless its the weekend so I only shower once a day, usually before I go out.

Also been told that my hair looks great after working out when its all sweaty. I guess sweat acts like a natural hair product

>Is this true?
no

>Should I shampoo my hair every time it gets sweaty after a workout
yes but stop using sulfate shampoos
get a sulfate free oil blend. argan oil, camellia seed, coconut, jojoba, avocado.

hot water is the worst thing for your skin. go as cold as you can tolerate

>shower twice a day
don't do this unless absolutely necessary or unless one shower is water only.

I shower twice a day cause I get all sweaty at night so I have to shower before going to school. Then I get all gross during the day so I have to shower again before going to sleep. It might be weird but I never touch my bed until after I shower when I get home.

are you eating before bed?
are you fat?
tried sleeping with a fan on your feet/legs unconvered?
