on the flipside, this guy im dating eats whatever he wants in mass amounts and is still cutting and gaining muscles. some people genuinely have some intuitive sense of what they can eat i guess. fuck if i could ever do that, im stuck logging every single gram of food

If you're cutting, overestimate everything unless you can accurately measure. If you're bulking, underestimate everything unless you can measure. You don't need to be exact if you ate 1300 but overestimated to 1500. If I was cutting and I think I ate 400 calories, I'll just mark it down as 500-600 depending how aggressive I wanted to lose weight

i don't eat any breads, i get all of my carbs from veggies and fruits. I eat a fuck ton of brocolli, spinach and black beans.

I eat fruit freely but I will always log them in, calories might sneak up on you if your not careful.

Lean meats, chicken, tuna, whey proton shakes, on a 500 calorie deficit set on sedentary.

I take a multi daily, alternate between magnesium, zinc and omega 3 fish oil capsules.

Drink a fuck ton of water.

I do a lot of cardio, i only lift 2 times a week, and Brazilian jiu jitsu 4 times a week.

I went from 300 lbs down to 215.

Get the nutrition of all the different pork parts and average them out, that will be the nutrtional facts you will use. Then measure out an exact portion for each taco

If you wander into the kitchen, slam a tall glass of hot tap water. It's gonna feel gross af and temporarily knock away the urge to put anything in your stomach.

Find something to do that makes you use both hands. Nothing wrong with eating less than 3 meals a day. You can eat just one big meal, eat when you're hungry not because the clock tells you to. Eating bigger but fewer meals is fine

Problem is that leads to binge eating. I've seen some meals that easily reach 2000 calories without batting an eye, let alone the 1000 or so you'd wanna keep your day at.

A tablespoon has a measurement of what is inside. Like grams. Though hes kind of nitpicking and you probably knew that.

2 oz of pork belly is about 300 calories easy. 2oz of lean protein (turkey breast) is around 70 calories. Considering pork is hardly lean, your pork mix is probably 150-200 calories per 2oz. 2oz is about 4 tablespoons. Do your own work since I have no idea what's in the pork mix

Practice your appetite suppression slowly then. If you rush into fighting your appetite without having enough willpower, you will binge. Start with how you regularly eat then slowly and carefully, reduce the amount of things you crave and time between meals/snacks. I did a few two day fasts to get rid of my hungry/cravings but I understand not everyone can do it, I almost broke the first two fasts. So start small and incrementally increase control over your hunger hormones. It took me almost a month to get to a point where even if I crave something, I'll wait until the next day and fit it into my meal plan instead of binge the second I crave

Take what you like from what I've posted and incorporate it. This what's been working for me so far. Everyone is different and different things work for different people.

I dont know how tall or heavy you are, if you feel like you're getting a good workout at bjj, more power to you. If you have a lot of energy after or on your off days, do some conditioning, calithesnics, weight lifting ECT.

Oh and I started with intermittent fasting, then transitioned to OMAD. weight started shred like there was no tomorrow, i highly recommend it if you have the willpower. It keeps your insulin levels low for longer periods of time, the longer youre in a fasted state, the more weight your going to lose faster.

Sleep is non negotiable, 7-9 hours. Good sleep raises t levels.

Ive never had any tests done with my t levels unfortunately, but I've feel like im in the best shape of my life.

Is it possible to lose your ability to eat fast food? I've been eating 1400 calories/day for a month now, which basically means I've been eating healthy food because anything with the slightest amount of fat in it means I can't anything else. Just bought myself a 12 inch pizza as a reward, and I feel deathly ill. I only had 6 slices and I feel sick, my mouth is constantly dry and feels like there's an oil slick in it, I feel boiling hot and cold at the same time and my stomach feels like its about to explode. I used to be able to tear through that shit, but I've been lying down for 2 hours now feeling death's bony fingers on my shoulders.

Believe me, I used to be able to eat a lot more than that.

I can eat most fats perfectly fine. After eating 'healthy,' basically low carb and the only carbs I eat are because they have fiber. I don't crave fast food that much, so maybe it was the cravings that made it taste better. I did have some in-n-out and chik-fil-a with friends and family in the past two or three weeks. The burgers were just ok, don't like or hate them. Eating fries was a chore and eventually just gave them away, not sure if those times the staff happened to make it terrible both times or I just don't like them anymore, they just didn't taste the same. It's almost like they changed flavors and textures since I last got them and it was just gross now.

Most fats I eat are things like butter and cheese that I've used to make soup or on a sandwich, but I don't think there in the same league as fast food because they don't have that typical greasy texture and taste. Honestly, I don't think I can eat that shit again. Just thinking about it is making me feel ill.

I think it has to do with fast food places using basically recycled oil. They'll fry the foods repeatedly in the same corn oil or whatever oil they us. Kinda explains why the burgers didn't bother me but the fries made me gag

I just feel horrible guys, I had generally been keeping up very well at -700/-800 calories a day but on the weekend I had 2 friends birthdays back to back which lead to steak booze and cake. Literally just want to fast for 3 days to try undo this damage.

I was on IF, but had to stop due to gallbladder problems.

I decided to go for keto this time and it feels quite cool. Eggs, meat, a ton of fiber. First time I literally didn't have any problems to stay under 2000 TDEE. Only thing I kinda worry about is how much staying on keto might cost, staying with fat and protein, compared to cheap carbs, sounds like it might burn more cash.

I went out for cinco de mayo, had 6 michelob ultras, got home and drank 9 spiked seltzer drinks, and then ate 6 slices of a large pepperoni pizza. I slept all day, planning on going back to sleep and hitting the gym whenever I wake up.

So say my Tdee is 2150 and I have been eating roughly 1200-1500 calories a day. If I wanted to speed this process up would it be better to fast or drop calorie intake to between 1000-1200 in an omad fashion?

I'm going to do it for qt doe-eyed brunettes, then.

My cut seems to be actually working AND doable since I added ~400 cals to it, I guess I was cutting WAY too hard and it was killing my metabolism, I was hungry all the time, and because I would binge often I was actually not just stalling for like a whole year but ADDING weight. Now it seems to be under control. If anyone is having similar problems, I would recheck your TDEE calculations online, and even then, advise you to calculate it yourself to find your actual TDEE. I did it like this:

[70] lbs lost / [52] weeks
=1.3 lbs per week
[1.3] lbs per week x 3500 calories per lb
=4711 calories lost per week
[4711] calories per week / 7 days per week
=673 calories lost per day + [1500-1700] calories eaten per day (an estimate of how much i honestly ate on average per day)
=2173-2373 cals per day TDEE

So, now I know a -500 TDEE cut isn't 1500, its 1700-1900. Fuck year.

Figured out that equation all by myself too, and I hate math. Go figure

in situations like this i try to plan ahead and don't eat for the whole day. but if it's "too late", just don't eat the calorie dense parts like tortillas and just don't eat so much tomorrow.

I just weighed myself. Apparently I'm like 199 lbs. But I was wearing my clothes and sneakers so I'm probably more like 198/197 lbs.

Why is it so hard to lose weight? I've been doing this for months. I'm even taking fat burning supplements that increase my metabolism and make me fuller faster. Sometimes I wonder if I'm hopeless.

I've calculated my TDEE many times with different calculators and it's always the same 3000-3100 cal (and chose sedentary lifestyle even though i'm working out 4 days a week).
I've been eating 2000cal/day for the last 2 and a half months and if the calculations were right I should have lost 10kg already, however I only lost 6. I'm 100% sure I counted my calories right and I still have some extra calories from working out, but I just seem to have a hard time losing weight.
Am I doing something wrong? Is my body fucked up? I'm probably going to the doctor next week to see what's up.

Unless you're an absolute hamplanet your tdee won't be over 2300-2400. Eat at 1800 for a week then go down to 1500 and stay there.
