Barbell or dumbells, it's pretty much same as flat bench. Hands a little more than shoulder width and 45 degree angle of elbows in relation to your lats and shoulders. The difference is in the angle of the bench itself. It needs to be a little higher than it's normal position. I usually put it two notches up. It's not quite 45 degrees or else it starts targetting delts more. The bar ought to lay across your nipple line when you bring it down and feel the stretch in your chest.

no they don't because Jow Forums, for the most part, doesn't lift or are still novices. Volume above 65% is the single greatest driver of gains. Doing more volume than you can actually recover from requires more mental toughness than Jow Forums has and there's lots of clues along the way that suggest maybe you should take a deload week.
