How long did it take you to reach 1/2/3/4

I reached the OHP and the bench in 10 months. My squat is like 2 pl8 because I skipped leg day, also deadlifts are sp00ky so I don’t do them.

If you’re not there yet share your stories

Deadlift, squat, ohp 6months
Ive neglected bench hard and 1.5years into lifting im still not benching 2pl8

Ape arms wwu

I'm repping 1pl8 OHPs after about 8 months easily, everything else is still a fair way off though. Living in a third world country with shit food btw.

>tfw hit this week 1pl8 OHP(had done before but I wasn't doing full ROM so I deloaded and worked back up) and 2pl8 bench at 68kg bw

feels good man

Not an excuse if theres acess to milk and eggs

>deadlifts are sp00ky so I don’t do them.
Why are they spooky? Asking as a beginner, I've only done it once.

.8/1.5/2/3 in 3.5 months so far. Is that good?

was able to do ohp for a very long time, dont know how long maybe 10 years ago, bench 2lmaopl was gained ages ago, got to 3 squat 3 years ago, got to 4 dl 3 years ago.

ever since iv gained 60 lbs and stopped working out, until last week that is.

gonna go for 2/3/4/5

def above average
not some genetic elite tho

1/1.5/2/2 here, I value my back

I should say it took me a few months (2 months, working out every day) to achieve the lifts, both the ones I did 10 years ago and the ones from more recent years.

I know I tend to grow faster than the average man. might be because of my height I put on muscle fast

Bench and OHP 1 year 3 months
Squat and Diddly both still at 125 kg..

1plate OHP in 3 months. Have not come close to getting 2/3/4 and I am 8 months in.

Took me two years, but I hit everything but deadlift in little more than a year
Granted I didn't know what I was doing at first and was a skelly and not a fatty when I started but I refuse to believe people here that didn't do any sports regularly before lifting made it in less than 9 months without lying.

in chronological order:

405 deadlift (6 months in)
315 squat
135 OHP
500 deadlift
225 bench

long arms represent

squat was first 6 months, ohp a few months after, deadlift a few months after that and bench took 2 years in total

2.5 years

So I've been lifting for about a year now. Current lifts are

~205 lb squat for 5
~135 lb bench for 5
~235 lb deadlift for 5
~90 lb ohp for 5

I'm 6'2" and ~200 pounds. Over the year I also lost 40 pounds (almost entirely fat). Granted, I had huge plateaus on weight loss, really been 200 pounds since last October. How shit are my lifts for a year and is there any hope once I can actually put weight on?

should i make 1234 easily even if im 163lbs BW? i can make the OHP and bench but 140 kg squat is too much for me, the deadlift aswell i can maybe max 165 kg. Is this mega dyel?

Started with the bar, took me honestly about 2 years.

2pl8 squat was within 9 months.
I struggled with bench and OHP a lot. It took me a 1 year just to get to 1pl8 bench.
Deadlift I'm still working on (175kg rn)

5'9 175
can 1/2/3/4 for 8 reps right now. It's taken me quite a while. 3 years on inconsistent bro splits and another 2 years of consistent strength training to make it there. I'm still a dyel punk tho.

Snap city fears, but honestly learn good form and you would have to try hard to injure yourself with anything under 3pl unless your form really breaks down.

your lifts are beginner

About a year, at the half way point.
I'm a manlet but that isn't a sufficient explanation. I must be a worthless piece of garbage.

Is it for 5 reps?

Like OHP 1 pl8 for 5 reps
Bench 2 pl8 for 5 reps
Squat 3 pl8 for 5 reps
DL 3 pl8 for 5 reps

Pretty sure 1 rep

Yes 5

No 5

What? I've always read it's 5. You always have those memers who say you should be able to reach 1/2/3/4 within a year of lifting and I can see that if these are 1 rep maxes but not 5.

It took me about 8-9 months and I was right around 15% bf at 6'2" 195lbs

Now I'm like 18-20% at 230lbs and have 205/330/540/600

Did you previously lift or? Seems kinda bullshit that someone is just 195 lbs at 15% bf with no prior experience.

I'm about the same weight and I just hit lmao4pl8 diddy. Working my upper back and heavy rack pulls helped a lot.
I still need to add 40lbs to my squat.

Fuck squats.

Anyone who thinks hitting 1/2/3/4 under 165 lbs bodyweight is a fucking moron.

Attached: 1507919779239.jpg (746x404, 77K)

No I didn't, but I was athletic and played sports from 8 until when I started lifting at 22.

>memers
you just a twink brah
I've been lifting for 6 months and already nearing 1/2/3/4 5x5

So you didn't lift for those sports?

I was actually obese and have been cutting

Start of the year I was a 63kg recovering boozehound. Started lifting in February, now at:

55kg OHP
90kg bench
110kg squat
130kg 3-rep deadlift

I'm sure that's nothing by /fitizen/ standards but I'm proud of it at least. Towards the end of last year I was the closest I've ever been to becoming suicidal. It feels so good to actually have some progress of a kind, when I began I could barely 1rep 40kg bench. I didn't even know what a deadlift was. It's just occurred to me I haven't been drunk in over half a year, didn't even notice the milestone since I haven't been thinking about it at all. Thanks Jow Forums

6'3 230 pounds
95/190/185/275 lbs in 6 months
started with machines

what am i doing wrong?

>what am i doing wrong?
>started with machines

Less than three: God genetics
3-6 months: great genetics
8-18 months: average
+2 years: bellow average or underage or has a certain problem
Not even meming

Anyone could hit the 6 month mark if they are tight with their workout regime.

It should be 1/2/2/3/4 (ohp, bench, ROW, squat and dead)

what is x/x/x/x/ scale here? newfag

Honestly if I hadn't fucked with machines and just went straight to barbells I probably would be there right now.

No unless they are tall and heavy which is great genetics.
Your average 5'10 scrawny guy would never achieve 1/2/3/4 in six months

Like 3 months?
how are you all so weak?

5.5 months in

>OHP at 105lb for 5x5
>Bench at 155lb for 5x5
>Squat 2pl8 for 5x5
>DL I do 6 sets but get up to 2.5pl8's

Maybe by the end of the year I'll have all 4 consistently. No rush.

2 plate bench was by far the easiest.. im barely at 35lbs on the ohp getting there. But alas squat is thr hardest im at 2 plates with 20 on each side. Deadlifts are lame so i dont care for that

post body trex

What's your routine then, faggot?

3×100 bicep/tricep curls
You gotta confuse the body so it sends protien faster

Not impressed. Come back when you're doing 100x100 idiot.

As a 5'10 scrawny guy I can say you are correct. Feels bad

At least you will reach your goal some day if you eat big and lift big

I hope so. I'm at 125 ohp, 205 bench, 255 squat, and 295 dl at 177 ish bw. But it's taken over 2 years to get here because I didn't know shit for a while

this legit started december was 60kg 5'10
legit could barely do the barbell for OHP
30kg squat
25kg bench
60kg deadlift

now 70kg 6 months later 5'10
37.5kg OHP
60kg Bench
95kg Squat
110kg Deadlift

Look at it from my standpoint, i never touched a weight in my fucking life, wasnt even athletic, ofc you cant hit numbers like that so easily even if you are "tight on your regime" I did take a two week break but still, i went 3x a week for a solid 5 and a half months, im never gonna quit till i /makeit/

1/2/3/4
1 plate Overhead press (20kg plate each side)
2 plate Bench Press (2 x 20kg plate each side)
3 plate Squat (3 x 20kg plate each side)
4 plate deadlift (4 x 20kg plate each side)

What kind of routine you do?

kek. i'm 0.1/1/1/2. will i make it?

I do a linear progress routine, ABA type but slightly adjusted so theres more arms

A:
Squat 5x5
Bench: 5x5
Pendlay Row: 5x5
Overhead barbell extension: 3 x 8
Preacher Curl: 3 x 8
Stiff Leg Deadlift 3 x 8

B:
Squat: 5x5
OHP: 5x5
DL: 1x5
Close Grip bench 3 x 8
Weighted Chin up 3x5

No harm in trying man, everyone starts somewhere, you cant expect to waltz in the gym and fucking deadlift 4 plates for the first time in your life, you got to work for it, thats the whole beauty of the gym, the gym is the only thing which i believe reflects real life, you go through bad and good patches at the gym, as long as you work through it, come up with systematic solutions to solve your problems so you can prevail, just like real life. What you put in is what you get out. If you're systematic, pragmatic and consistent, you will fuckin make it.

for 5'8" manlet, i heard that 170lb was genetic maximum. at 170@10% bf, what x/x/x/x should i expect?

Im just starting out with lifting and can only bench an empty bar. Should I just work with the chest press machine until I get the number up on that instead? It would at least save me the embarrassment

be honest, did you lift at all before you count your "start"?

I did some calisthenics in high school when I swam, but like the hardest thing I did was chair dips.

you couldnt really say but you can do well over 1/2/3/4 for reps (meaning more than 5 reps) at 170lb 10% bf, no problem

I’m definitely guilty of skipping leg day but that is because of back injuries from the Marines and my stats are pretty good because ive always had strong shoulders

175/255/265/325

leg day is today bruddahs

Attached: FB68CF40-474B-42C6-A54A-D24B1FD59248.jpg (750x746, 552K)

kk thx. see yall in three years bois

3 sessions of SS

Still a way off doing DL and OHP for reps, but 5.5 months, only just got to 180 DL last week. Saw a guy incline pressing 100 on the day I got to 100 though, so there really is still a long way to go

175ohp is no joke

You need to program upper body better, that's like 1 month noon gain tier. Youre deadlift needs work to avoid muscle imbalances.

Just hit one pl8 for Ohp, 2 for squat, nearing 60 for Bench. Deadlift is fuarked, I'm at 90 for deads

Tfw you can nearly squat what you can Deadlift

5x5 Working sets, it's whats an impressive number for a working set.

Instead of taking it off the rack I actually do a power clean into military presses. I think its much easier and a better way to load up your muscles!

i nearly shit myself until I realized you probably werent American

Honestly 60 kg is so trivial even DYELs can do it. How are you stalling at 90? I'd say focus on fixing form if you haven't.

>225 bench
>35 OHP
Do your arms connect straight to your torso without shoulders?

I'm guessing he means a 35 lb plate on each side

Shit discord

If you bench more than 75% what you squat you should be fucking hung, lmao. Squatting 2 plates should take literally 3 weeks if you're over 160 pounds.

1 year consistent lifting in,
50kg ohp
95kg bench
150kg squat
175kg diddle all for 5

I'm benching more than I squat, stupid.

Been about 11 months
1 rep maxes as followed
OHP: 140
Bench: 235
Squat: 275
Dead: 330

Jesus this thread is opening my eyes pretty hard, I lifted for football through my sophomore year of college and I always thought legs were the easy lifts to do well. Turns out a 3 pl8 squat is somehow just as impressive as a 1 pl8 military press which boggles my mind.

I mean both are decently good markers of strength. 1/3 is a solid benchmark. I agree that 1pl8 OHP is more difficult to achieve.

1/2/3/4 is a common goal for Jow Forumsizens to aim towards, regarding 4 of the big compound barbell lifts.

The 4 lifts are...

THE PRESS®™ 3.0
BENCH PRESS
SQUAT
DEADLIFT

1/2/3/4 is sometimes referred to as 1pl8 2pl8 3pl8 4pl8.

To lift 1pl8, you put 1 plate on each side of the bar.
To lift 2pl8, you put 2 plates on each side of the bar.
To lift 3pl8, you put 3 plates on each side of the bar.
To lift 4pl8, you put 4 plates on each side of the bar.

Therefore you are actually lifting...
2 plates + bar, when you lift 1pl8
4 plates + bar, when you lift 2pl8
6 plates + bar, when you lift 3pl8
8 plates + bar, when you lift 4pl8

A plate is a large single disk of weight that is placed onto the bar before lifting.

The weight of a single plate is as follows...
20kg for Europeans.
45lbs for Americans.

European 1/2/3/4.

1pl8 overhead press = 60kg.
20kg bar + 1 x 20kg plate on each side.

2pl8 bench press = 100kg.
20kg bar + 2 x 20kg plates on each side.

3pl8 squat = 140kg.
20kg bar + 3 x 20kg plates on each side.

4pl8 deadlift = 160kg.
20kg bar + 4 x 20kg plates on each side.

American 1/2/3/4.
(Americans will be using a 20kg Olympic barbell even though their plates are in pounds. 20kg = 44.0925lbs)

1pl8 overhead press = 134.0925lbs.
44.0925lb bar + 1 x 45lb plate on each side.

2pl8 bench press = 224.0925lbs.
44.0925lb bar + 2 x 45lb plates on each side.

3pl8 squat = 314.0925lbs.
44.0925lb bar + 3 x 45lb plates on each side.

4pl8 deadlift = 404.0925lbs.
44.0925lb bar + 4 x 45lb plates on each side.

Converting the European kg into lb shows that Americans have to lift more to reach 1/2/3/4.

American | European
1pl8) 134.0925lbs | 132.277lbs
2pl8) 224.0925lbs | 220.462lbs
3pl8) 314.0925lbs | 308.647lbs
4pl8) 404.0925lbs | 396.832lbs

Of the four lifts the GOAT lift is
THE PRESS®™ 3.0
It's so STRICT it makes your conservative great-great-grandmother look like a liberal.

OHP 1pl8

Squat 365
Deadlift 315
3 Months in

your DL can easily be 500 and BP easily 250-300 if your squat/OHP are that good

>pl8 deadlift = 160kg.
>20kg bar + 4 x 20kg plates on each side.

took me a year to bench 225, a year and a half to hit OHP, dead and squat. my first almost year of lifting was full of meme lifting and not eating nearly enough, so I pretty much write that off. put 80lbs on my squat in the last 5 months

this is some fit LORE

When you reached 1/2/3/4 as 1RMs, how much weight were you doing 5x5s with?

It varies a bit but you can generally expect 5x5 weight to be ~80% of your 1RM.

I hit 1 pl8 OHP in 4 months with a 1rm 4 pl8 deadlift 2 weeks later. My bench is at 190 and my squats are at 2pl8. Currently 275 fat as fatass.

Been lifting since January. I hit 1pl8 OHP first because I wanted it so bad I trained constantly for it. Currently stuck at only 3reps though.

tl;dr 1/1.5/2/4

started end of February this year, got serious in March. as of right now I'm at
120 OHP, 165 Bench, 205 Squat, 235 Diddly at 196 lbs bodyweight . I'm only going to count 1234 for reps (10-15).

>pls no bully the weak fatty
I've been microloading but some faggot broke the 2.5lbs, do I just do heavy singles of the next weight up to failure to progress? OHP is getting really hard now .

>I wasn't doing full ROM
how is it even possible to not have full ROM on the press? Do you just stop halfway up? baka

>muscle imbalances
fuck off you cuck, you don't get a "muscle imbalance" even if your squat is higher than your deadlift, but you're trying to worry a beginner into caring about memes.

I'm at 0.25/1/1.25/1.5 after 43 days. I hope I'll make 1/2/3/4 within a year.
