idk where op is located but here in sweden you have to do a theory test with like 60-70 questions and you have to get like 50 right to pass.
before that you have to do riskettan, which is attending a presentation on drug & alcohol risk awareness. then you do risktvåan which is driving & braking on ice. lastly you do the driving test, which is just driving around for 20 minutes.

I wish I could help you cause I was really nervous when I started driving too, but it went away after like 10-20 hours of driving.
Something you could try is just watching youtube videos of people driving around town. And try to predict how they should be driving, what rules they should be following etc and see if you're correct. Then when you're actually out driving, everything goes a lot smoother (imo).

Oh, it's hard to say. It's both i think, but i usually don't remember what exactly im failing at, but i can recall several examples of shit, that im outright awful at:
When there is a narrow road i can't estimate my car's size and tell if it will fit through or not. I also can't tell where my wheels are, especially the ones that are in the opposite of the driver seat, so i can't avoid pits on the road properly. When there's no markup on the two or more lane roads im struggling to distinguish the lanes. Turning left at the crossroads with no traffic light is also a nightmare when there's a heavy traffic.

It's usually just called a "written" test here, and what it entails varies by state. It's followed by a practical, hands-on portion.
