>mountain biking
5/10- fun but high risk of injury and high start up costs
>longboarding
3/10 a bit gay but ifyou do it reg its nice
>bjj
1/10 least effective martial art after Aikido for actual self defends, high risk of injury for glorified cardio, do judo if you want to compete as rules are more sport based, do jj if you want to know how to survive a fight and stay on your feet

>Boxing and mauy thai
7/10 but why do both??
>climbing/skydiving
7/10 and 8/10 but why have you put these together like they are the same thing?

7/10 although can get pricey
3/10 i do it too but hate myself after and its a waste of life
1/10 its not a hobby to go on holiday once a year

Jiu Jitsu is the best hobby, mostly because it triggers literally every person who is too "alpha" to come in and get tapped 1,000 times before they get a blue belt and aren't a helpless retard on the ground anymore.

hiking, climbing, biking

with respect to shit you like doing

I wish skydiving wasn't so expensive to get certified though. Not to mention they're always in some dipshit area outside a city or something so you've got to drive out for an hour+ to do their boring ass classes, after spending money to do all the jumps.

>I like coaching young boys and teaching them the skills needed to shape them into fine young men, a la Aristotle and Alexander

My dream would be to open an institution one day that teaches children, both boys and girls, the basics like math, science, english, and history, but at the same time, my school would be fucking smart as fuck and all the history lessons would be immersive and all the science classes would include building trebuchets and shit. Also, because I don't discriminate, girls would also be included, because in the past I've always been angry towards women, but now I must learn to let that go and teach the future generation of women that they can be based too, all memes aside. There'd be shit like horseback riding, riflery, boxing, camping, story-telling, big fucking bonfire dances, where the musically inclined children would beat on these big fucking war drums and the kids would whoop and holler and sometimes they might sneak a little alcohol on campus and get to fraternizing, but me and the counselors might, MIGHT turn the other way because we were the same way when we were kids, and it'd just be a hell of a good time. Discipline would be harsh and constantly reinforced, but bravery, courage, honor, tenacity, and respect would be rewarded with public recognition, titles, priviledges, and respect in kind. I want to be known as the buff principal in the polo shirt who talks down to the parents who come in bitching about their son's bruise that he got from climbing trees or swinging on the monkey bars, and how if she doesn't like the school, then she should ask her child if he wants to leave, and the kid will obviously say "no", because the school is fucking cool, and she'd be so BTFO she would leave the grounds in a huff. That's my dream.

This is a dumb thing to say.

You have a noble dream user
Good luck in life

all of those are nouns

I think some other user said it best a few years ago, and what he said has stuck with me ever since.

>"Some kids escape from their problems by watching movies or playing vidya. Other kids escape their problems by taking religion or saying prayers. Jow Forums is a collection of all those kids that thought their problems would go away if they all just started lifting. How so very wrong we were...How so very wrong I was..."

Meh. I've seen worse hobbies.

Where can a fella find a place to train this? I wanna replace judo with some kind of wrestling because my club is kinda full of weenies and the coach is a manlet

>playing Minecraft for literal days
>beating off to diaper porn
>using a bicycle to sneak up on drunks and screeching in their ears before hauling ass down the sidewalk, giggling like a faggot the whole time
What are you, autistic?

How's your krav maga gym treating you, little guy? You wanna try a real martial art some time?

>Luta Livre
Are there actual gyms for this in the USA? I may or may not want to become a luchador

depends on the location man. Japan and some parts of the UK are big on it (as well as catch). In the US you'll probably find freestyle or maybe greco-roman. East europe probably Sambo.

btw all wrestling coaches are manlets, i don't know why

These all sound pretty fun. I like to pretend I'm a confused middle-aged man trying to figure out Minecraft while I play, and I'll pretend like I don't know how to turn off the voicechat, which is pretty fun. Sometimes I'll say stuff like "Wah-ho! I won!" after I built like a tiny raft or a small house or something, and these teenagers would chime in with stuff like "idiot" and "oh my God, who invited their dad to play?", which never fails to make me kek.

Don't know about diaper porn though. Very niche for my tastes, even as deranged as I may be.

How fit do you need to be to do BJJ? I’ve been lifting on/off a year but my endurance is shit

I'm 22, is it too late to get into a martial art like boxing, judo, ect?

Attached: blood-sport-neemt-echt-bloed-af-bij-verwonding-62467.jpg (970x545, 70K)

martial arts are for children or the mentally ill

Pffft, I'm 22 and I know guys older than me that are just starting. As long as your body is in good shape, you can totally pick one up. Hell, at this age you should be in decent enough health to pick up an intense one like boxing, kickboxing, or wrestling

Disregard though, he probably went to a BJJ dojo and got tapped 8+ times by their scrawniest high school girl and can't move past it

10/10

My gym has a beginners course, that takes 8-10 weeks, most people there are in bad shape. In the beginning you will struggle even if you have good cardio, because you don't know when to relax and what to do. If you want to start, don't wait around because "my endurance isn't good enough." You will improve your conditioning while practicing.

So what's the problem with gaming? I don't see why it's so different from watching a film or reading a book.

Attached: rand.jpg (625x1049, 122K)

Become an NSS (National Speleological Society) member, and find a local caving grotto to join. Through the grottoes you can meet more experienced cavers. Once you make connections with experienced cavers hopeful you can find someone willing to take you to a cave they know about and have trip lead status if necessary. That's probably the best way to get into caving if you've never done it before.

I dont do anything much apart from that... I play lots of video games.

yes

you obviously don't have the maturity to understand that gaming is a waste of time whilst reading never is (unless you're reading shitcore)

sorry, but this guy is right. gaming has its benefits. but reading provides far more, especially if you're reading substantial topics.
