>sleep 6:20 hrs everyday
6 hours of sleep isn't much. So basically it's about regular sleep?

is more importantr than eating, eating provides the neccesary nutrients for muscle growth and all that but sleep is the time the body uses those nutrients to fix any sort of damage to the body, if you eat sligthy below what you need you can get away with it by sleeping more, but you can't get away with not sleeping enough

pretty much the most important thing

I think the point is consistently alright sleep is better than shit sleep that is patched up by great sleep

I've always been a big proponent of diet and sleep being 90% of bodybuilding, the other 10% is working out. Which sucks for me because I'm in the military, and my base's DFAC is shut down currently and in my field we're critically manned so I work most weekends and pull long days regularly. Worked 10 hours yesterday. Will work 10 today. It sucks man.

All of you should watch this podcast if you care at all about making gains

>sleep 5 hours
>wake up to piss
>drink glutamine, a pack of ham
>sleep 5 more hours

It's essential for GH release and muscle hypertrophy.

>inb4 dont stay up late

Try doing the opposite stuff

dude just turn your brain off lmao

I have the exact same problem, takes me 30 mins to an hour (usually about 45 mins) to fall asleep once i'm in bed, and I usually wake up well before my morning alarm.

I tried everything people say to help things out. I turned off my computer at 10, read a book until 11, then went to bed. I ate well and obviously I was hitting the gym. But it didn't help at all. I don't even fucking drink tea, coffee or soda so there was no caffeine intake. I'd eat dinner at 7 so it wasn't just before bed.

I can't turn my thoughts off and just fall asleep like some people can. I fucking envy the people who can just fall asleep a minute after their head hits the pillow and just sleep solidly through the night.

Usarak?

I know the feel, I've been trying some different stuff casually, like meditation, etc. Haven't gotten any results yet though. Usually get maybe 4-7 hours depending on how late I go to bed

>mfw thinking about the gains I've lost
>the comrades I've lost
>you feel them too, don't you?

You literally don't even acquire gains until you go to bed.

Tried a fan/white noise? I don't really have trouble sleeping, but I use a fan in the summer and I feel like I fall asleep faster than in the winter.

Dark room, on your back, good pillow, lie still 10-15 minutes, no stimuli. Do this even if you don't feel tired.

Is it normal to still be tired after 8 hours of sleep? Some days I go on for 10h+ and still wake up tired ready for more sleep

Commit yourself to at least one entire month (30 days) without any caffeine whatsoever. Not even in soda or green or black tea. Not even in decaf coffee (still contains caffeine). You're probably just dead inside from caffeine tolerance.

8 hrs of sleep is a meme, it's all about timing ur REM sleep cycle properly. look it up and educate urself

Very, very important. I'm no scientist but I know that sleep is how your body refreshes its brain, and you grow the most during sleep. So, it follows that sleep is necessary for proper physical development

So you need 9 hours of sleep which is like 6 full cycles.

Balancing your sleep lets you get a jump on life and also provides health benefits even if one was not aiming to work out.

How do I get myself to sleep less? I've gotten between 8-9 hours of sleep as long as I can remember, I usually nod off around 10:30-11:00 and wake up at 7:30, but on occasions that I've only had 6-7hrs of sleep it's just harder to wake up only until I'm fully awake, then it's like a normal morning. Am I getting more sleep than necessary?

I bought the whole "sleep for mental gains" thing in highschool, and got really good grades that carried over to college as well, but it seems to hinder normie activities like going to the bar and being awake for those 1am "you up?" texts
>Implying I'd ever get one

Also my gains have always been subpar so I'm not really worried about sleep for gains

Not either of them but I'd rather kill myself than listen to white noise. I prefer silence or completely random noises from outside. Then again, I never really have trouble sleeping.

I sleep from like 12 or 1 til 8 every day except Monday and Friday where I sleep in until like 10:30. Is this okay?

i'd say it's the most important. you are really fucking your body up if you don't sleep. you can go hard 6 days a week if you sleep good

I sleep 12hr a day, I wake up after 4-5 hrs, know it's to soon to get up struggle to sleep again. Then when it's time to get up I'm so tired all I want to do is sleep even more ?

if im having a really hard time sleeping i just decide to get comfy for the 8 hour wait and appreciate the quiet time with no responsibility

right when i get comfy i usually fall asleep

Rain sounds (real or artificial) are god-tier for falling asleep

Oversleep is almost just as bad for you as undersleeping

Second this recommendation. Really great, informative podcast episode

I think it's bad for your circulation??

"Turning your brain off"

Unironically this. Otherwise I just keep myself up thinking of stupid shit. It's hard at first but eventually you can just not think of anything. It's much easier to get to sleep like this. The only time it sucks is when (trigger warning:normie) my girlfriend watches TV to fall asleep when she comes over so it doesnt work very well. I find a fan helps a bunch as white noise though.

How do I get myself to sleep for only 8 hours?

7-9 hours of sleep is essential. Fun fact, doctors are forced to take 30-hour shifts. Doctors who haven't had a good night's rest the night before are way more likely to make a critical misdiagnose. God help you if your surgeon didn't get a good night's sleep.

You WILL fall asleep. Any other result is you fucking a step up. This is basically your bodies off switch

>just turn your brain off lol

I sleep alright most of the time but how the fuck do I force myself out of bed every morning

Literally just go to a fucking sleep specialist doctor and get meds for insomnia

I have my fan set to turn off at the same time as my alarm clock. If I lay in bed after my alarm for too long I end up getting too hot and just getting up.

you gotta have something to look forward to

Where do you think we are user

God damn it, you sorry sack of shit, watch anime in the morning instead of at night.

How does your fan turn off automatically?

Smart light switch

Real is great, artificial is awfut.

damn, clever
