would be a great picture if it werent for those chemtrails
>tfw put on deo so that I smell better when hiking with a female and thus aluminium comes into my body
>chemtrails above the hiking trail causing me to ingest even more aluminium
>every hike brings alzheimers 2 weeks closer
Went for one yesterday, fellow hike-bro.
Youre right I should hike more
But I do
nice
I would like to but as a Student I dont have the money for all that equipment and there is nothing nearby for me to hike. Nearest shit is 200km away.
you don't have shoes?
>money
what money? hiking is literally just another word for walking. you don't need anything to hike besides legs and a bottle to carry water in.
>>great cardio
>>killer leg (quads, calves) workout
>tfw try going hiking
>drive 1hr to get to the nearest trail
>walk it, it's easy af
>drive 1hr back
treadmill or actual running is better cardio
squats, leg exercises, or even biking are better for killer legs
I thought people buy bags and all that shit and specal wear.
>walk an easy trail
>complain that it's easy
???
do a >8 mile hike on an intermediate trail and then try posting what you just said
forcamping supplies yeah. but you can do a 10 mile hike in a couple hours. all you need is a comfy pair of shoes
I joined a scouts group back in '16, bought the absolute cheapest bag, sack and boots. The whole deal didnt take me back more than 60€, I hike every month and shits holding up fine.
It's cheap
still need to drive over an hour just to get to the trail
sounds like a personal problem
Because the only good trail nearby that wasn't covered in horse shit got paved over a few years ago because "muh accessibility". It runs the same route, but it's assfault now and really kills the experience, especially when you get to the part that passes the old burial stones.
I live in a large city so getting anywhere worth hiking in is expensive and takes up most of the day
>tfw no qt outdoors gf to go hiking with
I do, usually go away friday night come back sunday morning, it's nice, hardly Jow Forums though it's just walking with 20lb in a backpack
You are mistaken, OP. I do enjoy going /out/.
>Live in North GA
>ample hiking opportunities
>visit parents in HI often
>hundreds of beautiful hikes
Life's good
Yeah I've basically just cut out leg day and go for huge hikes instead. Anyone here use poles? Some of the mountains around here are super steep and appartanly poles take a lot of pressure off the knees when going downhill.
How do you find hiking trails near you? I live in the UK for all it matters.
I use poles. Takes a TON of pressure off your knees. Also they help with stability in technical trails. I can go almost twice as fast with poles since you can use them to brace and stabilize. Look for them at Costco.

The selection courses for US Army Special Forces and Delta Force to this day remain centered on weeks of navigating terrain on foot with ~60-70lbs of gear. It turns out this is both a valuable indicator of the sort of endurance expected of elite soldiering and a reliable way to place candidates under sufficient stress that their true character is revealed, allowing the weeding out of those incapable of being team players and keeping their wits. Walking, like any exercise, can be made sufficiently challenging so as to produce physical development making you more fit to the task. Find yourselves in nature, brothers.
>tfw went to grand canyon two weeks ago
>tfw did the entire bright angel trail (to the colorado river and back from the south rim) despite NPS saying its a bad idea
>tfw had to shamble up the last three miles and couldn't walk the following day
Where the fuck are you "hiking" in Dallas? Flat walks are not hikes
