Can I put milk in a plastic bottle for like 6 hours in my backpack without any problems or refrigeration...

Can I put milk in a plastic bottle for like 6 hours in my backpack without any problems or refrigeration? I usually train during lunch break at work and I want to bring milk to make a protein shake as soon as I finish training, but sadly I have no fridge around to store the milk.

So how stupid is this idea? Can milk last a few hours without refrigeration?

post-workout window is a myth, have the shake when you get home and you will be fine

i wouldn't... milk starts to smell pretty quickly.

It's probably worth it to invest in one of those metal thermoses or even a small insulated lunchbox and some ice packs.

Get an insulated water bottle that can keep your milk cool for several hours.
Or, eat a protein bar.
Or, eat when you get home.

Freeze it

This + metal thermos mentioned above.

it makes it nice and creamy. 6 hours wont kill you.

if you freeze milk the water and the milk part freeze and thaw separatley

you gotta wait for it to thaw entirely or you are just gonna be drinking white gross water

Use uht milk. It doesn't need to be refrigerated until you open the carton.

Use armond milk instead it doesn't expire

my mom told me her cousin used to pour a bowl of milk, put it out in the sun for a couple of hours and then eat it as a snack. it's probably fine but if you use a vegetable or nut milk you wouldn't have to worry about it.

What sort of job gives you a lunch break long enough for a gym session but doesn't supply employees with a fridge to store their lunch?

This

Yeah, as long as it's relatively cool. Any warmth will fuck it up real good pretty quickly.

As long as it's room temp you'll be fine.

Used to drink a 4 or 6 pint bottle every so often at school and sometimes I'd finish it at 1-30, went in my bag at 7-30. Now I'll sometimes start a bottle before I go to bed and finish it when I wake up, and that can even be 12 hours. Doubt it'd be alright with a 500ml bottle tho.

Nigga use powdered milk in your protein shakes. You don't have to worry about refrigeration or lugging around a separate insulated thermos.

Don't do it. My bottle exploded after the milk inside turned into cheese.

Just mix it with water?

this

Get a new unopened carton of pasteurized milk and open it right before making the shake

>an milk last a few hours without refrigeration?
i often leave milk sitting around out of the fridge over night, and its still in perfect condition the next day.

>all these babies wanting milk

Just mix it with water you literal child!

did you know its less hot at night and not everyone lives in the same fucking place

Milk doesn't go bad in the span of 6 hours, in Southern America they don't refrigerate their milk at all.

Thermos, it works for formula.
