by far the technology im most eager to see is human level ai, which would almost immediately be proceeded by super human general intelligence
this will cause robots and ai to automate ALL jobs, because humans will not be economically efficient anymore. all humans will become unemployable, which means that everyone turns into a neet. i think what will happen is mega-communism, which means that humans will starve to death by the billions, but i could be wrong
either way human level ai is such a big deal, i cant wait. ai will eventually turn into a literal omnipotent omnipresent god, which is basically proof that god does exist, because god is going to soon exist. it will be able to run simulations that are indistinquishable from our current one, down to the atom level, and smaller, etc, which puts into question just how "real" this world is
personally im preparing for it by trying to get a job and buy remote land in northern canada. you want to be away from society when nobody has a job and doesnt have money, because shit will hit the fan harder than any prepper's wildest dreams
