great numbers my dude, how long have you been running? i started 6 months ago and im still struggling to get my 10k below 55 minutes (gonna get on my first half marathon on september)

when i started running it was only to pass on a fitness test at the military police career exams (which i did) and it was awful since i was basically starting from nothing to achieve 2.8k in 12 minutes, once that was out of the way i decided to try a local 5k race at a much more confortable pace, and it got me hooked.

The first and only half marathon I ever ran I did it in 1:59. Previous to that I ran regularly, but had no concept of how far 13.1 miles is when you're doing it on foot. Never again.

If you did HIIT right now you would probably pass out. It's for people who don't have time to do 40 minutes of running, because 10 minutes of HIIT is 40 minutes of running. It hits you all at once. Only adequately fit people can take it, so I wouldn't recommend it for you.

Recreational runners have less arthritis of the knees than sedentary people do. Some level of stress is necessary to maintaining a healthy knee. It's the pros and the army rucking dudes who get it more.
