its literally what im doing. I haven't been losing much weight, surprisingly, but 30lbs by november is very doable
i would change the 48 hour fasts to 72 or 96 though. Go from lunch/dinner thursday to lunch/dinner monday or whatever

You're not going to lose shit weight like that. Just switch between wet and dry fasting depending on how much energy you have or need until the weight is lost. Shouldn't take you more than 3 weeks. Not fucking 4 months. You won't lose any muscle.

Looks fine, i did omad for some time and it somehow reduced my general appetite, then switched to 36h. Hopefully i can get further soon enough.

Dr.Fung's protocol allows up to 8 cups of coffee a day. But his is a weightloss protocols. He's not concerned with autophagy.

I'm 24 hours in, this is my first time fasting.
I'm quite overweight so maybe the hunger hasn't hit me yet but I assume it will when I go to sleep tonight.

I'm quite used to going 24-30 hours on a gaming binge without eating so maybe my body is semi-used to 24 hour fasts and the worst bit is about to come.

I am a little concerned because I don't normally drink a lot, I've drank maybe 500ml during the last 24 hours and I feel fine, I guess if I start feeling worse I'll take a shot of snake juice and some AVC (I heard it helps a lot with heart burn if I start experiencing it.)

Having a shit load of anxiety issues lately while I've been trying to go back to a more normal eating schedule after 2 weeks of every other day fasting. Stopped drinking snake juice and feel like I'm still basically in a fasted state most of the time regardless and my weights still crashing no matter what i eat. What the fuck is happening is the anxiety even related? im shaking all the time and suspect it's hightened cortisol.

Maybe you just made a mistake in calculating how much to eat?

Force yourself to drink water.
Make it a habit.
Set an alarm if you have to.
It reduces cravings and will keep you from coming back to us complaining how tired you are.

Read a book in bed, there's hundreds of great fiction novels out there. I can barely go 20-30 pages before my eyes start getting heavy from sleep, it's great. Also make sure your room isn't too hot or too cold and sleep with your head facing the east, or failing that, the south.

flux, don't expose urself to blue light at night, make sure ur blinds/curtains block out all the light from outside, when you wake up make sure u get 30 minutes of bright light (i.e. go outside), if all that fails try using 0.3mg of melatonin

My current water fast is at the same amount of yours, but I’ve done 100 hours ones before. I pretty much just do snatches and clean & jerks everyday during my fast to keep the technique. I feel somewhat lightheaded after every set but I feel better after sipping on snake juice. So my advice is get in some more electrolytes if even walking is taxing.

Omad here. Never count calories. Yesterday treated myself with this meal since i got a raise at my job. Any guesses? Also had an icecream cone as dessert. I also walk between 10-20km a day, do cardio and push ups daily. Off days are cheat days tho so not sure about progress.

you can make it work but it would be better to go low-ish carb for OMAD so you dip into ketosis for a lot of the time

Whatever works for you, man. Whatever fits your schedule is my general advice. The longer you're in a fasted state the lower your insulin response will be, and the more growth hormone you'll produce.

electrolyte drink to help with long fasts. if you do a 3 day fast you absolutely need it otherwise you'll feel like death.

if you're just doing once a day IF, you can get by with regular sea salt.

Not really. Having an eating window longer than 12h is bad. Your digestive system can handle larger meals, but you should give it time to recover every day.

I train on the same days and eat OMAD at a small surplus and water fast on saturday. If I want to cut bodyfat faster, I can water fast on tuesday and thursday as well. Once I reach 10% bf, I'll ramp up my surplus and keep the fasting day.
